Yeah, and SE shows a bed in Cloud's room during AC/ACC. Then there's the place in CoT where Tifa tells Cloud to go drink in his room. Seems pretty obvious to me that there's nothing romantic or sexual going on between them.

Besides, if SE wanted us to think there was something romantic or sexual going on between Cloud and Tifa, it would have been VERY easy for SE to show them kissing in AC/ACC. SE showed Squall and Rinoa kissing, and SE showed Tidus and Yuna kissing. Seems like an easy way for SE to end the LTD, if they wanted to - but they didn't.

True, true. I just find their interaction awkward.

He says the story is based on the premise that things won't go well between Cloud and Tifa, and that problems would exist even without Geostigma and Sephiroth. Then he goes on to say that the children may be able to help them work it out after AC/ACC, but he sure doesn't sound very certaih of it. Then he says that things would've gone better with Aerith.

To be honest, I quite disagree with Mr. Nojima, here. I don't think the children have anything to do with Cloud and Tifa's 'romantic relationship', and I fail to see that they could help them "work it out". First of all, since it's about romantic feelings, the relationship would only be between C & T. No kids allowed. Second, some few parents live together in a miserable relationship only because of the kids; but Cloud and Tifa don't even have kids together for real. So, kids might not bring happiness in a relationship. Third, I don't really see Cloud playing a father to Denzel and especially to Marlene. Barret is the only father to her. I've seen CloTis fussing over how Cloud and Tifa are like parents to them and how they have a happy little family after reading Case of Tifa -_-
And I really believe things would have gone better with Aeris; Tifa and Cloud's "relationship" is quite miserable in CoT and later in AC/ACC.

So, to me, Nojima's just confirming that there's little or no chance for Cloti to ever happen.

Yeah, and was it Nomura who said in some interview that he had no idea if Cloud and Tifa had a relationship (or something like that)? Correct me if I'm wrong. But doesn't that mean CloTi is a fanon couple since the creators don't know about it :lmao:

I agree. IMO, they really seem to have trouble communicating with one another.

Actually, my impression is that Nojima didn't think the children could help Cloud and Tifa "work it out", either. He says "could help them work it out", which means "maybe". To me, it comes across as Nojima predicting that some people would say that, so he's saying it might happen - but he doubts it. At least, that's how it comes across to me.

Absolutely. If there's problems between Cloud and Tifa, there's no way the kids are going to solve it. Problems between Cloud and Tifa need to be fixed between Cloud and Tifa. Doesn't matter what the kids say about it.

There's always a chance that someone else may give advice to them that will help them work it out. I mean, that's what marriage counselors are for, right? So maybe Barret, or Red XIII, or one of the kids may say something that would help them work it out. But who knows? Like I said before, if problems exist between them, it's Cloud and Tifa who have to work it out.

Yeah, sometimes parents will stay together "for the children" - but I can easily see Cloud taking off on his own and leaving the kids with Tifa. That's what he did when he moved into the Church, and it was working out just fine. Very honestly, I get the impression that Cloud's not at the Seventh Heaven that much, anyway, what with his delivery service and all.

And I completely agree about Barret - he's the only father to Marlene. If anything, Cloud seems more like a big brother to Marlene and Denzel than a parent.

Agreed.

Yep - that was quoted here:

http://flaregamer.com/b2article.php?p=109&more=1

A Final Fantasy VII fan interviewed Tetsuya Nomura for Dorimaga magazine and asked "How many girls has Sephiroth ever loved?". In reaction, Nomura spoke evasively in anticipation of more questions regarding Cloud and Tifa's love life, which have nothing to do with Sephiroth.

Tetsuya Nomura:
What kind of question is that? I've never thought about it. Honestly, I don't care who loves whom. I think you could imagine the scenerios that we don't mention however you want to. You could enjoy talking about that with friends. For example, I was frequently asked if there had been romantic relationship between Tifa and Cloud for two years, after FF7 ended, but I don't have any clue.

Unfortunately, we've never been able to find that quote in Dorimaga magazine, so some Cloti's claim that Nomura never actually said it. It would really help if we had the issue or month or year of the Dorigmaga interview, but they didn't give it in the article.
