I'm posting real quick to clarify something to you, Tres. I don't think THIS card canonizes the date. I think it gives us insight and detail as to what happened during their date but I don't think it alone is what canonizes the date. What I believe canonizes their date(in inarguable force) is the quote from DISMANTLED that shows Aerith recalling their(her's and Cloud's) date at gold saucer during Cloud's dream, a scene with only one outcome. If an optional scene is shown in a CANON scene--then that in turn also canonizes all optional choices within said canon scene/entry. (Just like AC and DoC canonize Yuffie and Vincent) THAT'S what canonizes it for me... not just because this card mentions the date... and I've never meant to give you or cleriths the impression that THAT is what canonized the clerith date for me cuz that's not what I intended AT ALL. (I should add in that, what the cards say is insightful, though.) And I don't think I ever disregarded this card in the first place because this is my first time hearing of the card other then the time Quex mentioned it earlier in this thread. And since I never got a detailed translation, I couldn't make anything of it. So I do not think this card canonizes the clerith date but the HW card doesn't canonize the HAHW scene. So please, stop saying that. If the HW card makes it clear to the reader that the HAHW scene actually happened then I can determine my opinion on the matter... but I need the full quote before I do. ![]() Would you mind posting a scan of the card with its context being easy to to see? I want to ask someone I know that can translate. |

Fair enough regarding the Aerith date. I didn't mean to imply I thought your sole reason for believing it canon is the card set. I should have expressed myself more clearly. On the matter of the Highwind scene, there's a scan of the card we're discussing (along with a translation) in this post by Que: http://s8.zetaboards.com/Cloud_x_Aerith/single/?p=309289&t=530952 |

It's really all right. I myself usually get lost in translation when conversing on forums. So don't worry about it. :3& also, I want to ask someone I know about that quote so I'll be back later

Have you been able to get hold of this person? What are you curious about exactly?

Sorry, Tres... I just now realized that you answered my post here. No? I thought they were all there. Are you still confused by that? She just meant that the backs as well as the fronts of some cards are shown. For example, both the front and back of these cards are shown:http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff97/Alexa024/DateCard.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff97/Alexa024/Calmness.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff97/Alexa024/Challenge.jpg That surprises me. I assumed that both the translation and the card were shown - but I don't have the cards, so I don't know for sure. Can you see the number on the frontside of that card? ![]() Oh, I'm sorry - I misunderstood your point. I thought you were saying that the HW scene is official because it's on the card, but the date scene can't be official even though it's on the card - so I thought you were contradicting yourself. ![]() |

No harm done. Regarding the YouTube video, while it doesn't show the number for the "Sanctuary of Amusement" card on its frontside, the image is definitely of thr entrance to the Gold Saucer. Between that, the eBay listing identifying it as card #111, and the first line of the translation we have being "The planet's largest amusement park is run by Dio," I'm confident it's that one. I just don't know if I want to spend the 5 bucks on it to check that one word. Edited by TresDias, Apr 13 2012, 02:16 AM.
