Okay, I've been rereading the script to the game and I'm wondering, how manly did you all think Cloud was?

I'll state my views later.

I don't think manly and Cloud should be in the same sentence.

That one guy
Well, on one hand he burst through a window on a stolen motorc generally walked around beating people with a sword the size of a cardoor (and sometimes a baseball bat with nails sticking out of it) and all that is quite manly.

On the other hand, he hangs out in flower patches and was sceen walking around in womens clothing.

You could say Cloud is manly for dressing up like a girl because Aeris asked him to. On his own, he wouldn't even consider doing it. :3

I also find the fact that he bust into Shinra HQ and facing down a small army armed with machine guns and explosive weapons to save the girl he loves pretty awesome/manly. Not to mention, considering he did it without thinking twice to save Aeris when it was extremely dangeous, yet was hesitated at all to go through with a far less dangerous plan to rescue Tifa, that says quite a lot about the LTD, but I guess that's for another topic.

At any rate, he's probably still not the manliest FF character out there, but I really don't think he's as feminine as his haters say either. Most people don't fit into the manly or feminine stereotypes. But heck, people have been arguing for 13 years now over whether he loves Aeris or Tifa more, so he's got to be more than a little manly at the very least.

Not a Clerith, Cloti, or Zerith.
I think he's fairly manly enough. Not too manly to be an annoying, egotist, but enough to be able to take charge when it counts. Just right, I'd say.

I do know he's nowhere NEAR the girlyness most yaoi fans or haters make him out to be. <_<

ooh, I couldn't agree more, Vanelo. :P Driving a motorcycle is very John McClane, if you ask me. And you're right, Cloud didn't show any hesitance to save Aerith from a heavily guarded building--that takes a lot of bravery. :cloud:

I am so happy you said that! I sometimes see yaoi fans make Cloud seem like such a girl that I have a very hard time in believing that it's supposed to be Cloud in the first place!(which is why I don't like it >.<)

I agree, by the way. Cloud's manliness is just right. :cloud:

I think Cloud is manly enough. He's a little more in-tune with his insecurities than a lot of other men are, seeing as he's sensitive, but he's also a stereo typical man when it comes to girls' subtle hints. I'd say he's man enough and is not a girly man that yaoi's like to say he is.

Agreed. I gotta say, he's (kinda)sexist like some "manly" men are. Not insultingly sexist, just kinda. Remember when he's always saying stuff like "I can't get help from a girl" to Aerith? :P

I've seen lots of guys deny the help from a women just because they don't want other guys to think they're girly. :P

Well, Cloud is manly in some aspects. But, he's definitely not some Macho Man. I mean, is someone that says "let's mosey" all that macho? :lmao: Cloud actually has a very boyish personality. He wants to be admired by the other kids of Nibelheim, he wants to be cool like Sephiroth, and he has a hard time accepting help from girls. He isn't some macho dude like Cid or Barret.

Well, obviously. :P But he isn't girly either. Like what most people say Cloud is. <_<

Nah, he isn't "girly". :P Boyish and introverted... maybe a little emo at times. But not "girly".

Agreed, Vanelo... he wasn't at all happy about doing it.

Again, I agree with both of you. IMO, that stuff makes him manly enough.

Like f FFG said, he's not Mr. Macho Man like Barret or Cid. He can be very insecure, emo, introverted, and boyish. Despite that, I think he's *very* attractive. He's sure manly enough for me. :lust:

Girly? Absolutely not.

LOL

Manly? Well, he doesn’t toss back two six-packs in one sitting and burp and scratch his beer belly or have lots of facial hair, but Cloud is very definitely a man to me. He’s strong without the big physical build and not too tall or short (I’m 5’3 so guys in the 5’7-5’10 range have always been my preference), and he does what the girl asks (now that’s a real man, and super sexy). He’s gorgeous without being cocky about it, or seemingly even aware of it, and he doesn’t run off at the mouth (thank God). IMO, it’s his quiet manners that set him apart from most other attractive guys and puts him far above the rest of the field when it comes to personality. :P
