It's some kind of authentic military uniform that princes and emperors and kings wear to special ceremonies. What is it called?!?! >_<

Come away, oh human child, to the waters and the wild.
The overall style seems to be a late 1800s - early 1900s European military look, particularly in countries that were under some kind of sovereign rule. That's why you see princes and kings wearing them in a lot of old pictures, since they were supposed to be the heads of the army.

Some examples include The Russian Imperial Guard and the Imperial German Army.

As for the specific parts of the uniform
-the fringes on the shoulders are called epaulets
-the sash which goes over the shoulder and across the front is called a baldric
-the tall, boxy hat is called a shako
-a good general term for the jacket is ulanka, though different variations in style sometimes get called by different names.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you need more information.

Wow - great job, Ultimavara! :cheer: I had no idea whatsoever.

I've always thought it was just called a dress uniform. :dunno:
