I'm in. Right now. Rock is definitely where my heart lies when it comes to music. From symphonic metal to mathcore, I'll listen to any genre within it as long as it's good. At the moment, I'm listening to a lot of The Mars Volta, Paramore, Enter Shikari, Idlewild, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Green Day. I'd love to see some discussions going on in here. Been to any rock gigs? Favourite one you've been to? Here's my Last.fm to see what kinda music I like http://www.last.fm/user/DuskAria |

Sign me up! I have been to see Def Leppard, Aerosmith, and The Eagles live. Aerosmith was probably the best. Here lately, I have really been getting into bands like Nightwish and Within Temptation, which is really more gothic rock. They have a really nice, dramatic sound. Other stuff I like includes bands like Korn, Disturbed, Chevelle, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, and stuff like that. |

Wow, thanks for joining you guys! Amaranth, I love Green Day. Have loved 'em forever. I own practically all of their albums except their new one. Wish I did though. I haven't ever been to a gig, not that many people come to Kentucky, ya know, lol. But CheVelle came here in August and I was going to see them but stuff happened and I couldn't. FF_Goddess, I adore CheVelle. Their new album Sci-Fi Crimes is insanely good. Their probably my favorite rock band. It's kinda odd coming across another fan of theirs. I own Disturbed's Album Ten Thousand Fists, and it's easily one of my top ten albums ever. Can't believe you saw The Eagles and Aerosmith live. That must've been amazing. I'm a huge fan of Aerosmith, and I'd just keel over if I ever got to see them. I purely listen to the eagles because of the guitar-ing. |

I really love their new song, "Jars"! I haven't gotten their new album yet, but I own all of their previous albums and I love them! What's super-cool about The Eagles concert I went to was that is was during their World Tour 2001 and I was in Moscow at the time. So, I actually got to see them in Russia!

You have no idea how cool that sounds. Seeing such a classic band live especially in Moscow would have been mind blowing.
Yea, that's a great song. The other song on their album called "Sleep Apnea" is wicked cool. Favorite album of theirs would have to be This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In) or Wonder What's Next. I just recently was able to get all of their albums. Now all I'm missing is Point #1. So you're lucky to have 'em all. Also, I own Rock clubs on other forums and we usually have a daily thing where each day of the week is designated to a certain genre of Rock music. Like Monday is Metal, Tuesday is when you post two songs of the same band, etc, etc. The members on those forums seem to like it. So should we have something like that here too?

I find it weird how much Disturbed split opinions. Some people hail them as amazing and some just can't stand them. I certainly fall into the latter. Glad to hear you're liking Nightwish, FF_G Easily my favourite band. I have 33 and a half hours worth of their music on my hard drive, I'm quite proud of my collection. Only ever saw them once though I'll never forget it!Green Day's new album is amazing, you definitely need to check it out :) As long as you're okay with their new sound from American Idiot, that is. If you're a diehard Dookie fan then you might have some complaints. I need to listen to Tool more often. |

Cold..... But I'm still here.

FF_Goddess and AerithGainsborough, you've also got a huge Chevelle fan in me. Been listening to them since Wonder What's Next? came out, and they've been one of my favorite bands ever since. Sci-Fi crimes showed a bit of a softer side to them in some tracks, but for the most part, they are still rockin' as hard as ever despite their age. Do you guys have their Live at the Norva DVD? Fricken' epic! A must watch! Other bands I love are Deftones, Queens of the Stone Age, Story of the Year, Alice in Chains and Incubus. Lots of others, but those are at the top of my list. And if you're really daring (like me), and like to take your rock tastes to the international level, then you should check out bands such as Animal Jazz, E-SEX-T and Slot. They all have great music! ![]() Oh by the way... sign me up. =) |

Welcome! Thanks for joining, man. Can't believe I found two people who like CheVelle! They're usually so underrated. Sci-fi Crimes did show their softer side, but that's to come eventually. But like you said it still rocks! I actually think their last album is a lot like all of their stuff put together. Sadly, I do not own their Live at the Norva DVD, though. But I love watchin' them live. They're always so good. I'm gonna go check those bands out. |

Linkin park is good band. :) Well, the first song of them I heard is "In the end". It's one of their best songs, I think. :) |
