A series of uncommon places
A.I as in Anime Insider, an very popular Anime magazine.

ANYWAYS, this issue was the exclusive gamer issue and I think you'll be quite happy with the Final Fantasy VII parts of this issue.

First of, Aerith Gainsborough win's DEATH OF THE MONTH:
A.I pg. 14

A fitting death for our premiere videogame issue, this fatality is regarded by many as the most shocking in videogame history..although for those who played the game after graphic capabilities had advanced, it was hard t take asgravely as intended, given the still somewhat cartoonish graphics yielded by the original Sony PlayStation.
The story: with Cloud and his group working to save the planet from the disturbed Sephiroth's plan of destruction, Aerith departs from the team to pray for the Planet's protection in an ancient city. When Cloud catches up with her, Sephiroth tries to manipulate Cloud's mind to force him to kill her. When Cloud resists, Sephiroth decided to handle things himself and appears out of nowhere to drive a sword into the poor flower girl's back.

Secondly, Final Fantasy recognized as one of the top ten games that defined the progress of RPGs:
A.I pg. 44

It took four discs and about 10 years for America to fall in love with the RPG. Say what you will about Final Fantasy VII, but this masterpiece managed to incorporate all the best elements of every previous RPG into one cohesive, amazing game that cemented the PlayStation's dominance in the console market for the next few years.
Sqauresoft's masterpiece is regarded as one of the greatest RPGs of all time, incorporating a vast world with a dark storyline, optional side quests and bosses that still define the console RPG today. The tortured, spikey-haired hero, the chaste female companion, the gruff companion- most RPG character cliches started with this game. The FFVII formula is still an influence on console RPGs, even outside the continuing FF franchise.

Now I dunno about you but the female companion sounds alot like Aerith :3

Hmm? Could be Tifa too if we're talking about personality rather than image. I doubt it though, as most fans seem to think Aerith is purity and innocence personified (even though she isn't) and she fits the archetype better. If it is so then I notice they specifically mention "The tortured spiky haired hero" (Cloud) "The chaste female companion" (Aerith) and "The gruff companion" (Barret) Original 3 characters ftw! :D

Kool findings Wintercream! I've notice that whenever final fantasy 7 is talked about its most likely aeriths death scene I would say its the most memerable part in the game for me....plus aeriths and clouds first time meeting :cleris:

 I'm thinking that the chaste female companion is aerith...like what Vixie said she was the original ff char and in the opening of FF7 it was aerith&cloud which kinda supports my theory

1. Not engaging in sexual relations; celibate
2. Undefined or stainless
3. Pure in style; not excessively ornamented; simple

Now I don't know about you but those description are very much Aerith.
I can't wait to see what Anastar or the other admins think of this :3

That one guy
Let's see ...

1. Not engaging in sexual relations; celibate
Despite Hojo's efforts, this one holds up. Aeris didn't have sex with anyone during the game. Unless there's some really hidden optional scene that I missed.

2. Undefined or stainless
Not touching this one. At all.

3. Pure in style; not excessively ornamented; simple
Yeah. that's pretty much her to a "T".
