“In regards to FF7AC, we’ve done everything they can do.”

“The Compilation of FFVII has come to a stop with ACC."

All I can say is "good."

NO PLZ.
I just want this crap to stop. A remake sounded good for awhile, but I just want to keep some of the original FFVII in my brain.
I'm just so so so tired of it all. DDD:

Guess what? The new interview with Nomura says something different. >_<

Nomura: I’ve got a lot of ideas in my head, but for the time being the Compilation has come not to an end, but a pause.

I guess ACC won't be ending the Compilation after all.

That's unfortunate.

At first, I liked the whole continuation of the game with AC and stuff, but then I realized AC was a bad movie and it only soured my love of the original game. I'm kind of sick of all the ultimanias and all the new games. Enough is enough. Nomura ought to have some artistic integrity, and know when to just stop.

I'm not too sure what to think of that. On one hand i'm happy that we'll get to see more of our favourite characters, but on the other hand i'm starting to feel like SE is just using FF7 as a cash cow. The compilation has messed around with so much material from the original game (I mean, how many different versions of Nibelhiem are there now?) that I'm starting to feel out of touch/bored with the thing.

I mean, what can they do next? Surely Sephiroth can't come back again?

I'm not surprised- after the hints in CC and in the secret ending of DoC, they've pretty much made it clear that there's a confrontation with Genesis coming up. I figured as much. We're just going to have to wait a little longer to see what exactly it's going to be.

Quick question, does anybody here even give half a rat's patootie about Genesis?

I could make a list of the top 100 FFVII characters I actually liked and that thing wouldn't even come close to making the list. ... and I'm not even sure I can even think of that many FFVII characters.

Can't say that I do. Genesis is kind of full of fail so far. A petty second to Sephiroth, and probably always will be. I think SE has been trying to make him on the same level, but I just don't feel it. He's boring and weak. It's really pathetic that they're trying to pump him up to be as cool as Sephiroth. It's not happening. Kadaj and his gang made far better villians.

.... Y'know, now I'm tempted to try and make a list of 100 FFVII characters now. Wanna help, Alan? : D

I certainly don't. He is arguably the worst thing about the compilation and is basically an amalgam of every Sephiroth fanboy's lame Gary Stu fanfic insertions. The overall reception for him in the FFVII fanbase has been a poor one from what I see, at least Vincent and Zack had popularity enough to warrant their respective games. How exactly could they even put him into another game anyway? His rubbish story ended in CC, and he has no connections to any of the FFVII cast. He sucks as a villain anyway so what's the point? We already have an immortal who wanted to blow up the planet...what's he gonna do? Cry and whine? I bet Denzel and Marlene could beat him up.

I swear to God I will track down the name of every NPC in FFVII, and if I can't find names....I'll make them up :tard:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NO MORE SPIN OFFS! :bomb:

They've already contradicted the original game enough times to make it 'un-canon' do they really want to ruin it even more?

....so yes, they should just end it with ACC so we can all move on with our (Final Fantasy) lives.

Nope, not at all. To be honest I don't care about ANY of the characters that weren't in the original (except for the SHM, they weren't annoying or useless).

I completely agree, Vixie... I thought he was just pathetic and boring. <_< He was nothing next to Sephiroth, IMO.

I gotta say, too, that he absolutely ruined the Loveless play for me. I thought the references to the play in FFVII were fascinating, and Genesis bored the hell out of me with it.

As for future games, I've heard some speculation about how Genesis might return looking for the better Jenova cells. <_<

Something I didn't like about CC was all the talk about cells. Good cells, bad cells, clones... I don't know, I just found it really boring. Maybe because I was bored I gave up trying to follow that aspect of the story, but it seemed confusing to boot. So a new game with Genesis searching for cells doesn't sound appealing at all to me

If they do make another game, i'd much rather it focus on the original cast of FFVII than Genesis anyway. The compilation keeps introducing characters we're meant to hate/sympathise with when the majority of us just want to see more of the characters from the original game if anything.

Part of the problem with Genesis is he's just so freaking ambiguous about what it is he's really after, that it leaves you completely in the dark. His obsession with Loveless- is it just because he likes the play, or is he trying to meet the 'Goddess'? And if so, why? Why is he obsessed with being better than Sephiroth? Why is he shown in league with the Deepground group? Nothing about Genesis makes sense thus far. His actions are so scattered and all over the place, it's pretty much impossible to piece together what it is he's trying to do. At least the other villians have objectives that somewhat make sense in conjunction with their actions.

But yeah, I'm thinking Aly is right- the next part of the compilation is probably Genesis returning for Jenova cells. *sighs*
