I'd only recently heard about the flashback of Zack and Cloud's escape on disk 3, so I went and checked it out. I gotta say, love Zack here. "I got a place I can crash. No wait, the mother lives there. Guess that's out". Gee, what's he thinking about? I'm wondering now why the Shin-Ra left him alive too.

Also, Cloud really needs to fix that rubber neck of his. That head movement in the truck was making me dizzy.

Heh, yeah, I discovered that scene totally by accident when I was just messing around one day. Twas a very nice surprise, even if the whole scene was rather disturbing.

I've heard that this was one of the scenes that was actually improved in Crisis Core though. O_o

Well that scene is pretty much the short, sped up version of CC's main ending.

I always liked that scene so seeing it in CC was awesome to me. :fish:

I don't remember which place it's at, but I dod remember you can check through some of Hojo's files at a certain point and it references the escape attempt.

Hojo's official records state that one of the subjects was killed and the other escaped.

Now it's pretty obvious Zack died. If he wasn't dead when the troops left, he sure wouldn't have had much longer to live. However in FF7, it's a HUGE exaggeration to say Cloud escaped. Left behind, sure, but he didn't exactly escape.

I always saw that as Hojo giving them orders NOT to kill Cloud and Hojo just falsified his records as part of his reunion theory.
