@ Bloodbath - when I was younger, I desperately fangirled over Kurapika, a character from the anime "Hunter X Hunter". In the dubs, his enemies always called him "kusari yarou". So I adapted it for my Internet name. It can be translated into "chain person" or more ruthlessly, "chain bastard" It's pronounced Ku-sa-ri Ya-roh

Ah. I think I vaguely remember seeing that as a kid, but I dunno.

Sinigang. Coincidentally, I just had that for dinner. :lmao: AND GAH. Why do Filipino foods have to taste so yummy? But why are they so fattening? (I'm talking lechon, sisig, etc. here)

Oh. What do you think of our lovely president? :fish:

@ Bloodbath -Ahaha. I'm from UP where being anti-Gloria is practically an indoctrination XD To tell the truth I've been without TV for about a year now(too much gore and novelty songs and teen-idol crap), so I'm not politically aware enough to form a really well-thought(or even a really vehement) opinion. So I wouldn't just randomly join an oust-Gloria rally. BUT, I do know who I blame whenever I hear about mysterious armed men “mysteriously” gunning down innocent journalists

And yes, I don't even read those magazine articles that go “Fight the Holday Binge this Christmas/NewYear!”. I know it's a losing battle.

@ Oceania- well, this is not a movie, but I liked nearly every song on the very first soundtrack to the TV series “Dawson's Creek”. They were my favorite for my teen angst(har) back in high school, and I still love playing it on repeat! I reaaaally like exploring movie soundtracks- you never know what great song you might discover from some obscure band!

Lol. The holidays are prolly the only time I pig out. The rest of the year I'm freaking over school. (especially now, since I'll be going to Junior year, GRAWRGH.)

Oh, you're from UP? Cool. Are the fishballs really that great over there? I keep hearing it from my friends. :fish: You guys have guts to go against it, IMO. But honestly? Just let GMA finish her term and then our government can start squabbling over the next prez.

What are you taking up in UP?

Have you ever been in a rally?

Last time you fainted?

@ Alantie- Peter and Susan Pevensie :( I know TPB(the powers that be) and fans will argue that the changes have added depth to their characters and whatnot. Because let's face it, in the books they're just not as three-dimensional as their siblings. But I just can't reconcile an arrogant Peter with the kind, courteous Peter. Or the sweet, peace-loving Susan with the badass Eowynesque queen.

Dean, definitely. That rapier wit does something to me. *swoon* But when it comes down to pieces. I adore BOTH boys to pieces!

Fave books...oooh, this is hard:
1. Voyage of the Dawn Treader- my first journey into Narnia, and still the very best Narnia book to me. Because there's just nothing like a journey into the utterly unknown.
(And oh, dear Edmund, you had me at 'assy-thingummy')
2.The Secret Garden- my favorite children's classic.
3.On Writing- this is my ultimate writing guide, plus Stephen King just plain rox.
4.Free Fall- it's a YA book about four teenage boys who get lost in a cave, and I love it because it's so balanced. It has so much of everything-- brotherly love; friendship; humor; drama; suspense; good imagery, dialogue, and characterization—but it never feels overloaded. And it all happens in twenty-four hours!
5. Les Miserables- One of the best things ever written. Period!
...course, if you ask me again a few months from now, the answers may be different *g*

@ Bloodbath- Veterinary Medicine- I'm at the Laguna campus. But my brother and sister study at the Diliman campus, and yeah, the fishballs and isaw are yummeh! I've experienced being caught in a crowd of rallyists, but I've never marched along :)
...I've never fainted before.XD

@ True Serenity- Hay! Well, last Christmas, my two American cousins visited us here in the Philippines. Me, my siblings, and my Filipino cousins were a bit concerned that things would be awkward, since it had been nearly ten years, and lots of family drama-rama had gone on since we last saw them. But it turned out great-- we hit it off right away, and all had a total blast :D So if I had $ right now, I'd take the whole family to visit them in the USA.

Why do so many people hate Rinoa? She's annoying for sure but her anti-fandom seems bigger than her fandom.

@ Alantie- First read SS when I was twelve, I think. Oh, I still remember how in looked so innocent, with a note from my brother saying "Good book, I think you'll like it".

My favorite from Season 1 was "Hell House". All the pranks; and I liked the twist on the fear monster(Tulpa?). From Season 2...oooh, so many good ones! I think "Croatoan", because that ep is intense and because of the brotherly sacrifice that went on-they just couldn't leave each other :tear:

Hmmm...this time when my friend and I were so very stressed from exams and working on this college-wide event our organization was hosting, that we started yelling at each other about computer print-outs (Don't ask >.<). It was opening night, and we were backstage but everyone could hear us! To make things worse, I started crying from frustration and couldn't stop for the rest of the night D: Ah, what stress can do!

@ AA- Erm... I think it's because they made her personality so extreme, that gamers either really love her or really hate her.

@Chibica- B) <-- I go out and browse at a bookstore! Weird, but nothing's more calming to me then that
