Oh! Well, I thought it was kinda sweet, a little out of nowhere though, but Wakka and Lulu were among my favourite characters so I was happy for them. ![]() Actually... to tell you the truth, through the majority of the game, every character excluding Yuna and Tidus was my favourite character.

I don't actually like any Vietnamese films. Surprisingly, neither does my mom. Instead, we both love watching dubbed Korean dramas, which is waaaaaaaaay better. But interestingly, it seems Vietnamese dramas are adapting and are becoming more like Korean dramas, in the way they dress and act...

What is your favorite Korean drama? I haven't watched that many, but the best one I've seen is Stairway To Heaven. ![]() It is true that Vietnamese is similar to Cantonese? Where did you hear that? Vietnamese to Cantonese is the same as it is to any other language. All the people in China who speak different dialects can't understand each other one bit either.

It was actually asked to me by my Japanese exchange friend, she was curious if Cantonese & Vietnamese speakers can understand each other, and since I don't speak either, I asked you. :) So would they be able understand each other if they happen to meet on the street? |

Cantonese and Vietnamese? No. Like I said, they're two completely different languages.

Funnily enough, I'm not into anything of my culture at all. Mainly because the ones I normally see are either folk singers or V-pop, and I loathe V-pop. *shudders* It's horrible hearing them put Vietnamese words into pop music!! ![]() But I was very into it when I was little. My favourite folk singer was Nhu Quynh, because she was beautiful and her voice was beautiful. She still sings, but to me, it's the same old thing. ![]() For a contemporary artist and, in my opinion, very beautiful and graceful, I was very fond of a singer named Loan Chau. She still sings now, and she's still very beautiful. I actually used one of her songs for one of my Youtube videos, so I guess I still have a soft spot for her. But trust me, if you ask me another Vietnamese-related question, I'm gonna say I know nothing of it, because I truly don't listen or watch that stuff! ![]() Am a devoted fan of K-pop, though. Ever since my friend Karen went to Japan (yes, Japan, and not Korea :lmao:), she has flooded my iPod with K-pop!

It's the truth, unfortunately!! xD
SHINHWA!!!!!!!! They are six members of the longest standing boyband in Korean history, and OMG all the guys are sooooooo good-looking!! TheIR songs are AWESOME, they can pretty much switch into any genre they want, and their looks as well!! They change their looks with every album, from typical boyband to gothic to male vocal group to super-hot suits!! My favourite member is Eric (:luv:), and he's the eldest oppa and the leader, but the others are just as cute too!! Especially the youngest Andy, he's the sweetest thing ever!! ![]() They've just held their 10 year anniversary before they all go into military service. 10 years!! Comparing them to other K-pop bands on my iPod like SG Wannabe, who are three members and are just ballads and slow melodies, and SuperJunior (Karen's favourite 13some), who are mainly bubblegum pop, I'd say 6 is just my number. ;) |

Thanks for the awesome Youtube links! Where can I find more that have English subtitles? Shinhwa is very talented and not to mention they have very good looking members! X-men was hysterically funny. Great stuff! My favorite part was Eric & Andy's love ballon. If you have any more links please post them cause I'm now a fully fledged fan. Anyway, how good is your Korean? What other K-pop singers do you enjoy besides Shinhwa? |

Glad you liked them!! You can claim any of them EXCEPT Eric, because he's mine!!!!
OMG, here. This is the original scene from Lovers In Paris that Eric and Andy reenacted. Watch the take in Part 3 of the X-Man episode and you'll see how well Andy actually imitated the girl's voice. ![]() There is this show called We got Married where they take celebrities and pair them up as newly wed couples and they must live together. It's a reality show, and it's really cute!! Andy is one of the grooms, and he's paired up with a singer named Solbi. Shinhwa make an appearance in an episode, and it is superduper cute. But aside from Andy and Solbi, there are supposed to be altogether 4 couples on the show, but two of them have been replaced, and I haven't really had time to check them out, but here, my favourite couples: Andy + Solbi - Episode 1 Part 1/3 They are the cute couple. I think you'll like this very much, and you'll probably fall in love with Andy. Alex + Shin Ae - Episode 2 Part 1/3 They are the romantic couple. Alex is a singer and Shin Ae is an actress that has been in dramas like Summer Scent. The translator didn't upload the first episode of this couple, but I'm positive that you won't care at all. You have a greater chance of falling in love with Alex than with Andy, I assure you. Alex and Shin Ae eventually get replaced after episode 8, though (I was crying). You'll learn why, but don't worry, they'll be back in June. Crown J + In Young - Episode 5 Part 1/2 The dysfunctional couple. The G-gangster with a heart of gold and the bratty singer who can turn her cuteness on and off like a switch. :3 They bicker with each other all the time, but they do have some very cute moments. I'd say this couple is the typical one that are always portrayed in Korean feel-good romantic comedies, how the couple hate each other, but affection then grows. :) You'll find the links to the next parts and episodes there somewhere. You also should subscribe to coolsmurf, because not only does she have a billion other Korean game shows translated (such as X-Man as well), but We Got Married is actually still airing and being filmed in Korea at this very moment, so if you want to stay tuned and up to date on what's happening, stay tuned to coolsmurf's channel! I think there are about 11 translated episodes so far (but I haven't watched them yet!! >_<).
I mostly only know common words, I'm not nearly as informed as Karen, who has even taught herself how to read (a little). I want to learn more later on, though. :)
Big Bang, Clazziquai (Alex's band), Rain, Nameless, Super Junior, SeeYa, NAVI, Bless, Park Hye Kyung... That's about all I can think of right now, but there are heaps more! xD |
