Welcome to Ten Thousand Heroes: A Soul Calibur/Soul Blade/Soul Edge Fan Club . The name is in reference to the create a character in the third installment of Soul Calibur. It makes you capable of having as many warriors as you like! The Soul series started as an arcade game called Soul Edge. After its success, Namco released a second game known as Soul Blade. After that proved a hit, the Soul series was brought to the Dream Cast by the name Soul Calibur. This game enjoyed even greater success, earning two smash hit sequels and another in the making.

The story of the Soul games is of two great swords. The sword of evil, Soul Edge, and the sword of good, Soul Calibur. Soul Edge takes control of its weilder, mutating their body and forcing them to do great acts of evil. Soul Calibur's job is to destroy Soul Edge. Enter the main cast, each with their own goals and motives. Some lust for Soul Edge, others to destroy it, and some have no interest in the swords at all. The most important of these souls is a youngman named Siegfried Schtauffen. In his quest for power he was posessed by Soul Edge and turned into the creature called Nightmare. He killed his own father and took of on a mindless rampage. It isn't until the third Soul Calibur game that Siegfried liberates himself and quests to gain forgiveness for his actions when under the sword's control. While Nightmare does still exist, with the help of the evil Zasalamel, he requires souls to stay alive. And if he can get to Soul Edge first he will absorb it and become the great beast Night Terror.

Join if you enjoy this series seriously (tournaments and what not) or casually (playing at home with friends). The newest installment will be out next year and all those with the XBox 360 or PlayStation 3 should be excited. Those with Wiis get to play Soul Calibur: Legends. Although, the style of legends is an adventure game rather than our classic one on one fighter. If anyone picks up the game a review would be nice. I'll be doing a review on the Soul Calibur IV upon its release. Hopefully it will fit right in with the rest of the games and be a massive improvement.
