I can't agree. Pointy blond hair, giant sword, girly face. (No denying that. Changing his hair into a feminine hair and he looks like a woman.) I have nothing against him I just don't find him fawn worthy.

I can't see how anyone (not just you) could call him girly. I like the fact that he has softer features, it makes him more unique. I actually find him very manly, what with his ability to swing around a sword the size of a car door. BUT TO EACH THEIR OWN I SUPPOSE. But a man should have a thicker chin. Cloud has a delicate chin, soft angular cheeks, no sign of facial hair, round watery eyes, and delicate mouth. Plus it isn't particularly manly when a guy obviously needs to spend a large amount of time on his hair. Well perhaps in 1, 2 and 4. He's a real sissy lookin' boy in 3. |

Well, as I said, everyone has their own opinion. I'll always find Cloud to be very manly, and his more delicate features don't change that at all. If he was a wuss who liked to spend a lot of time on his hair and nails or dress in pink or something, then yeah, you could call him girly then. But he's not, he's a fighter, and I don't judge how manly a guy is by his looks. I'm aware. You think his face is "girly", I don't. So his features are soft. I don't see how that classifies him as having a girly face. I understand that's your opinion of him, but honestly, if you gave Cloud long hair, I don't think he'd resemble a girl in the slightest. Cloud has always stuck out to me in character and looks. Among generations of characters, I'd think Cloud is the most distinct--everything about him is just his signature, and it's FN awesome. I swear, he never bored me when I first played FFVII (he didn't even need to try/do much). One of the very few characters in media history that I have greeeeat loyalty to. x) And, well, there's a ton of stuff on why Cloud is such a kickass bish, but I'll stop here. :lol:

Cloud is a man, despite his often effeminate appearance (especially in fanart--in the actual games, etc, he's pretty manly). Some people like men with a more delicate appearance, some people like men that look like Snake. It's up to personal opinion. I really don't think there is a way a man/woman "should" look. Personally, I like the way both of them look. It's more in terms of their personality that I care about, regardless.  NOT GARY, plz. |

Kit, everyone is going to have their likes and dislikes. We understand you don't like Cloud, but is there a real reason why you have to make it so known enough to debate over how a "man should look like" at a Cloud and Aerith forum? Not everyone likes the way your favorite men look either and it doesn't make them any less right for liking who they like. I also don't see them saying how much they dislike them every time you post one. Personal opinion: I love Cloud for Cloud, not how he LOOKS unlike the n00bs here like to shove in other peoples' faces in a very annoying and stupid way. I DO love how he looks, but just because I adore Cloud does not mean that is how I define how men should look. Cloud is really the only character I enjoy with gravity defying hair anyway. I also don't think Zack and Cloud look all that horribly different. There is a line between liking certain characters from a video game and personal taste in men. If the former overcomes the latter enough to affect your life, I think the person needs serious help and has to GO OUTSIDE. My fiance looks nothing like Cloud and I love him all the same. So what? I don't think Cloud looks girly at all. The fanartists are who make Cloud look girly because that's their interpretation of him. It's very rare to see a leading man that looks 100% man in anime or anime-ish games anyway so I don't see the issue. Just because Cloud isn't tough and rugged doesn't mean he isn't manly. Anyone who judges Cloud on his looks alone whether it be favorable or not is incredibly shallow in my opinion. He is much more than that and those who can't look beyond his face aren't real fans or are just plain ignorant, because Cloud has more substance than any other "manly" character out there. Anyway, what I mean is that everyone has their tastes. Doesn't make them wrong in having them. If you're that upset by pictures of Cloud, I don't see the point of being on a Cloud and Aerith forum.
