I have SPD (Schizoid Personality Disorder) and because of this my personality is a lot like Cloud's. I never seem to smile or laugh, I'm always serious and I often seem cold and uncaring.

Well. I also have multi-personalitiest; I can talk to myself for two hours and still be relatively content.

I think that Aerith didn't actually talk to Cloud, and it was merely him 'imagining' them inside of his head. This is partly why he couldn't see them, because he couldn't imagine himself doing so.

What do you think?

Well, if that was the case, then Aerith wouldn't really exist, right? Therefore, she wouldn't have been able to speak with the children or the SHM either. Yet, she did communicate with the children that had Geostigma and she did speak with Kadaj. Marlene also sensed Aerith's presence. In Reunion Files, it was stated that "if Sephiroth exist, then Aerith must also exist". It also states:

"As he rides [to the Forgotten City], Aerith comes to him in his mind and speaks to him...."

So, obviously, she was really there and not just in Cloud's imagination. Nomura stated that Cloud can see Aerith because her consciousness lives on inside him. In other words, Aerith lives on in his heart. :cleris:

Aerith actually interacts with Cloud in the movie (with Kadaj and Zack as well), so therefore she was not an extension of Cloud's own imagination.

I've never heard or read or have been told about Cloud having SPD in FFVII :P So, if Cloud was only imagining of him talking to Aerith, then I reckon Aerith never existed or she had been with Cloud spiritually. XD

Generally, some people can only hear the spirits' voices or feel them by some way...

Also, Kadaj was able to feel her presence as well as Cloud. Tifa even looked up at a drop of rain in the airship and said thank you as if the water represented Aerith's spirit. I think more people than Cloud knew she was there.

Yeah, you're all right, I guess. xD Spur of the moment thing. Well, anyway, I guess I stand corrected.

And I don't mean he had SPD, I mean he's similiar to me in the respect that he imagines whole people inside his head.

But he doesn't. o.o
