In all the Final Fantasy, which do you think is the most annoying monster. For me, it'll definately have to be the Marlboro's. They have attacks that can give all your characters status ailments like stone & poison. Stone is what really got me because when they attack, sometimes all my characters would get stoned simultaneously. That sucked :P

Definitely those damned Marlboros. I'm one of those types of players who leaves status ailments to wear off or be removed at the end of the battle, since it's usually only one of your party who's affected. But Marlboros just have to use their special breath attack that gives your entire party every status ailment known to man. <_< I hated them most on FFVIII because you actually have to search them out and fight them to get their tentacles in order to upgrade the party's weapons. Super annoying.

I think I will have to agree with both of you as well. I might edit this ater when I think of other enemies that drive me up a wall but right now my mind is blank.

I know for me any enemy that makes your characters confused always annoys me, it can get pretty tedious after while.

Would have to agree with the majority here and say Malboro, especially the ones in FFVIII. I swear, it's a hit-and-run fest when trying to collect the Malboro tentacles for weapons and Doomtrain. <_<

For me it depends of the FF, really... In 7 it was those damn frogs. Argh, I hate them!! >o< In 8 yeah, damn Malboros... In 9 and 10... I dunno, really... Maybe some creature that takes a while to defeat and gives you very little money and experience? I hate it when that happens. TT__TT

Edit: In FFX-2 I HATE that big monter with a shield that has a huge defense and attack power >_< And Yunie has no Aeons there so it sucks to kill the bastard T^T *always relied on Yuna's aeons to defeat ebal monsters*

Well, you figured out my reason. Their attack Bad Breath had really pissed me off! I tried junctioning magic on Status defense to prevent the status ailiments, but it was no help. And I hated them too when I needed their tentacles for Quistis' Save the Queen final Weapon. And after all of that, I still couldn't have beaten them.

Hey! Isnt Save the Queen the name of Beatrix's weapon on FFIX?

Plus, another monster that annoyed me somehow was the Ruby Dragon and the T-Rexuar.

*FVIII Side Quest Spoiler*

Well actually, on Disc four there were two islands on FFVIII that you could get experience from called "The Island Closest to Heaven" and "The Island Closest to Hell". The Island Closest to Heaven had monster who used continuos magic attacks (just like the Malboros) and the other island had monster with continous physical attacks (like Ruby Dragon and T-Rexaur). THEY ALL PISSED ME OFF!!!!!!

I couldn't get half of the teams ultimate weapons.....(So I started all over)

Marlboros. Ack. Especially when you're forced to fight it in those places that specifically spawns them.

Toonberries. Yes, they are cute. But...

I only get Odin after defeating Seifer. And I relied on Odin to kill them before the battle started. ^^;

Man, why can't these guys get the (pink) Ribbon?

They're cute but DEADLY!!!! :fear: (As a matter of fact, everytime I see my mother with a butcher knife I think she's a Tonberry out to kill me!)

Do you not find those Tonberry's difficult to defeat? I did sort of. In FFVII and FFVIII their would only be one them against the team. But in FFIX, they came in numbers and moved even faster than from the previous games.

Is there a tonberry in FFX?

Yea, There's a Tonberry in FFX I think.

I have to agree with you all and say Malboros! I think they were inspired by the Malboro Cigarette because Cigarettes give you bad breath and screw you up (status ailments), and, as Vincent put it, You 'get stoned'

In FF4, it was the Evil Masks. Oh my, These things would cast Reflect on itself and your party, then it would cast heavy-damage (especially to Rydia) spells like Utima and Flare onto itself, only to be reflected onto you. You can only heal yourself if he casts Bio on you or you die, because since the reflect would only reflect it onto him, and despell dosen't work. They take time to defeat but they were annoying!

I couldn't agree more.
I can't tell you how many times it happened to me that I had been playing for a long time without saving and ended up losing against a Marlboro >_<

Yeah, the Marlboro's totally kicked my ass all the time. Mainly because of the status ailments on my party after it did its bad breath attack. <_< icky Marlboro...

haha! I never thought of that before! Maybe that is where they get there name! :lmao:

I also hated the Tonberry's. Those things were tiny so I underestimated them at first glance...but then...IT ATTACKED! And did massive damage to me...stupid Tonberry's. They are cute though :tonberry:

 Heh, did you also remember the fact they have one-hit kill attacks? :tonberry:

If there were Tonberry's In FFX, were their attacks and looks all the same?

Did anyone find a boss that was rather annonying?

My bosses were Omega and Ultima Weaponfrom FFVIII.

In the strategy guide, it told me Ultima Weapon's HP was in the thousands. So I believe them but then I found out they were wrong....Ultima Weapon had this one attack that had caused 9999 poits of damage and he was attacking simutaneously. It was annoying that I couldn't even carry out my battle plan with him going carzy on me <_< .

Omega Weapon was just annoying beacuase of the fact his HP was in the billions. And he was twice as stronger and fought just like Ultima Weapon.

Did any of you fight Omega Weapon?

Let's see...I'll say Malboro from FF7, FF8 and FF10. Trying Morphing them and find out your Morpher (Yuffie) is a FROG!

FF8's Malboro doesn't need to do much for my party, they charged Berserked and the Poison slowly kills...they kills, I'll tell ya!

FF10 are annoying because they AMBUSH!

Strangely enough, FF9 didn't give me much trouble. Maybe because I kill them quickly...I love Zidane's speed.

I don't like Tonberries in FF10. They can counterattack everytime you made a move against them, even when you're Stealing and they STILL counterattack! Plus...there's the dreaded Karma... :tonberry: (And yet, I made up a Tonberry named 'Mr Death-Stabber'.)
