please don't kill me if I don't really know the answer to this question!! :(

But I noticed that Arieth has gold braclets on both wrists (I could be wrong about the both wrist) . However, the hand that is reaching to Cloud in the FFVII game, how do you know it's Aerith?? The hand doesn't have any braclets.

I never played the game and I don't have a playstation so that is why I am asking this question.

Please don't hurt me that I don't know :(

I am curious

thank you :)

The hand Cloud *sees* reaching out to him is Aerith's. Cloud was reaching up to the lifestream *first* desiring someone's hand. Obviously, he wasn't looking for Tifa's hand 'cos she's not in the lifestream. You can pretty much tell it's Aerith's hand 'cos the theme playing is Aerith's theme. Also, the hand reaching out to him is shown to be coming down from the lifestream. Who would be in the lifestream reaching out to him except Aerith? If you've seen AC, you'll notice that a very similar scene occurs during Bahamut's battle in which Cloud's and Aerith's hands *finally meet*.

Going back to the game, after Cloud is seen reaching up for her hand, it's revealed that at the same time, Tifa is *also* reaching for him...just further up the cliff-side. I really think they did it in a way as to give it an air of "mystery" (who do YOU think it is?), even though the theme and the fact that it's coming from the lifestream gives it away. I think you'll notice that Tifa's hand reaching out to Cloud isn't bare either, but covered with a pair of gloves. Coud's line, "The Promised Land...I think I can meet her there", pretty much confirms that the hand he saw (but wasn't able to meet) was Aerith's hand.

What HD said.

And also, just so you know, this is backed up by Maiden Over The Planet, where it confirms it is Aerith's hand.

This time, Cloud had separated from his body and was now in an absentminded state but, in the abyss of the Mako world, he saw a hand there to guide him. It was white and delicate - it reminded him of the hand that gave him a flower in Midgar. Unconsciously, he stretched out his hand...

Aerith was the only person who ever gave Cloud a flower in Midgar, when he buys it from her at the beginning of the game. And only Aerith could possibly 'guide him' from within the Lifestream itself.

aeirth is clouds one and only
here is the link to the site where you can read it. Look under short stories and click on the maiden, case of tifa is pretty good too.
