I started playing KH2 and realized on what the light is. Yen Sid told Sora that he has the power of light I think he means is Sora found his inner strenght since the previous game when he said that Kingdom Hearts is light and now he needs to use that light for the up comming battles he will face. I think thats what Cloud is trying to do find his inner streght to beat the darkness inside of himself. So I don't think his light is Aerith or Tifa its Cloud he just need to find it by himself like Sora did and I think Aerith knows he can find it . I hope I'm making sence here and remember this my opinion I'm not trying to offend anyone so please be gentle .

I agree, though after playing through the game, I'm pretty sure that Aerith and Tifa provide him with light too. Only Tifa provides light from his dark past, where Aerith provides him light for the present |

inner strength sounds good, i agree that neither tifa of aerith is his light becuse it represents the strength he has to carry on and go on living, and learning to fight the darkness for example if your having a bad day you move on a deal with it the next day because no matter how bad it is tommorow is another day for a fresh start :) |

In the middle of dawn. Staring at the twilights.

My guess is that he already found the light in himself, but probably he's not sure if light is his way. He already exploited the power of darkness, and regardless of the results he might have gotten used to it. So, I think he's unsure wether he wants light or darkness. |

Nomura had this to say about people's light in the world of KH: Interviewer: About Rikku being the rightful owner of the Keyblade - why is it that Sora had the Keyblade first? Nomura: That part is also a bit vague. In the Destiny Islands when Riku is swallowed by the darkness, there's a sparkle of light, and next comes the scene where Sora first gets the Keyblade, right? In my setting, the darkness wrapping itself around those two is the darkness of Riku's heart. At the moment when Sora enters that darkness, the light you can see is the light of the heart. So, your light is the light of your heart, that which is most dear to you. Personally, I believe Cloud already found his light in KH1 when he was reunited with Aerith. Why else would his artifacts of darkness (the wing and claw) suddenly be gone in KH2, which just happens to take place after Cloud was reunited with Aerith? ![]() Cloud was searching and searching for his light in the first game, so it makes no sense for him to be running from Tifa if she is his light. Tifa is not Cloud's light. But, I believe Aerith is.
