First off, if this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it. I saw Last Order last night and I'm still a bit confused. 1. Why was Cloud like... bleh... at the beggining when we saw him? This was before they experminted on him and Zax right? 2. How did Cloud survive the wound that he got from Sephiroth? He pulled the sword into himself, wouldn't he have died? As you can see, I'm still a bit lost. And once again, if this is in the wrong place, move it for me please. I really don't know where it goes

This is based purely from memory, so apologies beforehand if I get something wrong. XD 1. I think this scene actually takes place after Zack and Cloud were experimented on. Remember that they had to elude capture by Shinra Soldiers after escaping from Hojo's lab. This was probably a scene from one of their many escapes. The OVA then flashbacks to the Nibelheim event. 2. How did Cloud survive the wound from the game? Sheer force of will, I guess. I believe he would've died eventually, if Hojo had not found him and Zack.

Yep. It started after Zack and Cloud were experimented on, then it flashed back to the events of Nibelheim.
Well, that was another contradiction from the original game. In the game, Sephy's sword went through Cloud's right shoulder, near his armpit. It wasn't near any vital organs. In Last Order, Sephy's sword went almost right through Cloud's stomach. If you're going to question Cloud surviving that, you also have to consider that Cloud stabbed Sephy in the stomach, both in the game and in Last Order (although Cloud stabbed Sephy from the front in the game, while he stabbed Sephy in the back in Last Order). |

Umm I don't think it went through his shoulder in the game, the way he wiggles around and grabs the blade and throws seph off the bridge, looks more like a stomach wound just like in LO, but I prefer all the stabbing and fighting that was done in LO the the orginal game, Cloud taking two stabs wounds and being tossed around like a rag doll and still overcome Seph, amazing, that's why I prefer the real Cloud over Seph/Hojos puppet/lab rat Throwing Seph into the wall was so kewl, and the glow in Clouds eye a very nice remake, and actually watching Zack get his ass handed to him then just flying out a door way then on to a pod

Nope, it's through his shoulder in the game. Here's a screenshot:

hmm that's really disappointing, a stab through the shoulder isn't much, especially after Cloud stabing seph through the stomach, well I prefer the LO way even more now

LO really prettified the reactor fight, which I considered one of the only good contributions from the thing (rampant Zackness being the other one)-- I didn't like the glow in Cloud's eyes, though. That had better signify his Burning Rage Against Sephiroth, because I will wring the neck of small, furry things if it's supposed to signify some special hidden Mako power from within. Cloud was an average ex-Shinra grunt who saved the world. That's what I liked about his background so much. He'd better not morph into Something Special Magical Princess!Cloud in all these retcons. xO I agree that the stab through the stomach was very cool, though. Canon-raping, but still cool. ![]()
Whoa, I just realised... Sephiroth stabbed Cloud's RIGHT shoulder? That's the same shoulder he stabbed in AC! :o :o :o Perhaps the AC scene was throwback to the Nibel fight? If it was just a coincidence, it's a mighty cool one.
