He also calls her "mother" in AC. When was such a thing done for Tifa, if Nomura didn't want us to get the wrong idea that THILLY Tifa could never be Cloud's luva? I love how shaith latches onto the "Aeris has a maternal bond" part, yet barely one sentence later, it is stated that "[Tifa] also felt a certain maternal bond to Cloud." And for some older arguments you may end up repeating: shaith Rosaria If it wasn't for Cloud meeting Aeris in FF7, he would still be in the messed up emotional state he was. Hmmm... that's not true at all. This claim isn't supported by MOTP, where even Aeris herself stated that Tifa was the only one who could help Cloud find his true self. Aeris had a feeling that Cloud wasn't acting like himself, yes, but so did Tifa. It didn't mean she knew how to help him though, however. She couldn't even reach him when he was in the lifestream. Tifa was the only one that could, as she admitted herself. Yep, Tifa was the only one who could piece back Cloud's memories. But MOTP credits Aerith with leading Tifa to Cloud. So ultimately, both girls helped him out, one way or another. You can debate to what extent, but fact is both had a role in this. BTW, this moment cracked me up: Quote: Rosaria ]They were about ready to die. Cloud would have to grab Tifa's hand at that moment if he didn't want to plung to his death. shaith So just because he reached his hand out to her means he loves her? Aeris was leading him back to Tifa. one sentence later Rosaria Cloud and Tifa are friends, and I understand. But, Tifa makes a big mistake by counting on Cloud to be there for her. shaith How sos? Do the creators think this? Proof plz? Only after you supply proof that Aerith was leading Cloud back to his True Love Tifa, dear. Or are your arguments exempt from any proof? shaith And here is another moment where we get a glimpse that not only does Tifa know Cloud, but Cloud also knows the real Tifa. Case of Tifa When Tifa and Cloud were alone, Cloud said to her, "It's not like you to be troubled by your thoughts." "It's... Just the way I am." "No. You're much more cheerful and strong. If you've forgotten the way you were then, I'll be there to remind you." Actually, Cloud's words show how little he knows of Tifa. Name a couple of moments in the game when Tifa was anywhere cheerful or emotionally strong ("emotionally" because it's obvious that she's physically strong, and Cloud is commenting that her depression is unlike someone who is emotionally strong). shaith Case of Tifa Cloud gazed at Tifa and finally smiled. It had that kindness that made her think everything was all right. Aeris brought a child for Tifa and Cloud? To them? You know, like parents? Say it ain't so. :'( Not only that, but Cloud smiled as if everything was alright. So much for Cloud not being happy around Tifa. He smiled, then he left for the church. And never responded to all phone calls. Later, Tifa even doubts that smile he gave. So much for Cloud being happy around Tifa. shaith Cloud calls Tifa in the end and tells her to let the children know that tomorrow is off. Then there's a picture of everyone outside 7th heaven, implying that they had some sort of a prty or get-together to spend time together. And that indicates he's in love with Tifa how? He's with the whole AVALANCHE, so if they had a party, it was as a group. It would be quite ridiculous for Cloud to have gone through all that he did in AC, only to revert to being a recluse again. shaith Rosalia "What about me? What about my pain?" and "What about US? What are WE suppose to do?" Wow. FFVII Cloud "No matter what anyone else says to me, it's only your attitude that counts." Let's set the context straight first. First quote: Said when Aerith lay dead in his arms. AVALANCHE was standing several steps away, Sephiroth was standing right before him. Second quote: Said while Clound was being confronted by Sephiroth, and Tifa was the only one who could ascertain the truth of his memories. You telling me that Cloud believing Tifa over SEPHIROTH indicates he loves her? shaith It doesn't take a genious to know what he's implying. That Cloud and Tifa would go back home where they "belonged". They start taking care of these children as if they were their own... think about it. They could also "belong" because Cloud and Tifa are the only two survivors left from Nibelheim, the only two left who experienced the horrors first-hand. That's plenty of a link right there. It's not the definitive romantic line that you claim it is--it can be interpreted in different ways. They take care of children as a family, but Cloud=father? Since when? Denzel is stated to look up to him as a "hero". Marlene already has her own father: Barret. Tifa is stated to introduce herself as Marlene's mother. What is Cloud's role in the family described as? "The big kid". So yes, family--but not with Cloud and Tifa as husband and wife. shaith This one actually works in our favor. It's not, "Aeris, I miss you ... Aeris, I want to hold you ... I can't live with out you ... Aeris, come take a tumble in the flowers with me." It's, "Aeris, I want your forgiveness so I can get past this guilt trip and move on with my life. It's "Aerith, I want your forgiveness that has meant more to me over these past two years than a life with a living woman." Just some ideas. But really, the idea is to stay calm. The LT was never concluded definitively, so there'll always be some hole in anybody's logic.

I havn't read COT, or Reuinion files.... so, I'm kinda stuck there. But seriously, CIML must not have any life.... Thanks everyone for the support. This debate is starting to ruffle my feathers... and, its not easy to smooth them down...

I'm just wondering if it'll be worth the trouble I take to register. If it's really just CIML, you guys shouldn't have too much trouble anyway. Knowing her from past debates, she doesn't do a very good job of bringing solid evidence in. EDIT: I just checked...and it looks like you guys are doing fine in there. I'll just watch for now, I suppose. Let us know if you need any assistance.

It's certainly different from any mainstream Final Fantasy. It's a leaning on the "okay" side for me, but ~~out of the first 30 minutes I played the game~~ I don't think Penelo and Vaan are 'just friends'...unless Ashe is a pedophile.
