Sorry to answer you so late. You hear it right at the beginning, listen to the piano, and then when the other instrument starts to play, that first cascade is part of Aerith's Theme. I believe the tempo is the same as well. Just try to hum along if it's possible for you to do so. |

I never really took notice of it! WAH! Thank you so much for sharing! Now I'm in uber-Cleris-fluff mode.

Yup I agree, n in Pure heart lyric the whole paragraph suppose to be "Kiekaketa atsui omoi Mou ichido mune no naka de Kagayaki yureru" n translated: The passionate feelings That were beginning to vanish Once again sway In radiance in my chest I wonder is there any meaning they put it in "Cloud smiles"? Seem like the same feeling as Cloud at that scene... |

lol well no matter how much Cleris proof there is I don't think most of them will ever see it. No offense to any Cloti's but they would probably tried to argue it even if they heard it come from final fantasy VII creators themselves. |

I always thought the piece was massively Clerith just due to the fact that the highlight of the song happens when Aerith is sighted. I was taught that music tells a story, and that you can pretty much read the emotion by listening to the notes. Or so my choir master said, she's as eclectic as can be, so...but there is truth to what she says. No matter who you are, you cannot deny that the climax of the song is when Cloud sees her. It's as though his heart then stopped when he saw Aerith and then gently began to beat again as she turned to look at him, and confirm that he is all right again. You can even feel the gentle sadness in the notes when she turns to walk away--but, he's all right now--he's not alone anymore--and the song ends with the normal strength. It's strange explaining, I'm sure, but I'm sure if you think about it, you'll understand.

I totally get what you're saying, and you're right. The first time I heard that song, I was at the Dear Friends concert in Detroit. I closed my eyes and just listened to it...it seemed so sad..and I thought Cloud was gonna kick the bucket LOL. But yes...Uematsu did a fantastic job with that peice. And why not include Aerith's Theme into it? It's definately his favorite theme (I think he actually stated that was his favorite peice), so it'd be hard to imagine that he wouldn't incorporate it into 'Cloud Smiles'. It'd be kinda cool if they would put some vocals into that...I mean, we FEEL how we think Cloud feels, but if they put some lyrics in there, we'd definately know how Cloud feels. |

Ahh, you're so lucky you got to go to that concert! Did they play anything from FFIX? ![]() And yes, even just listening to 'Cloud Smiles', choir student or not, you can tell the emphasis was placed on Cloud and Aerith interacting. As far as I'm concerned, Squeenix has pushed Cloud/Aerith in every possible sense save for smell and taste unless you want to use the Coca Cola promo figures for that. XD As for lyrics--hell, we got those in "Calling", remember? ;D Also interesting to note--the song 'End Credits'. The Cloti's have claimed that the main theme is "Cloud's theme", right? Well guess which three songs kinda make up End Credits? The Main/Cloud's theme Aerith's theme Pure Heart (I think...at first I thought it was the ending theme from FF9 XD) What does that say, folks? ;D |

I believe they played "You're Not Alone" from FFIX...dunno, because I've never actually PLAYED FFIX... The three songs that are actually played are: FFVII Main Theme, Aerith's Theme, and Dear Friends (which is played at the end of every FF game.) Just remember the FFVII Main Theme isn't Cloud's Theme...Cloud never really got a theme song (poor Cloudie) in the original game, but now I'd have to say that Cloud Smiles would be his theme song. I remember that people like to point out to CloTi fans that like to say in the final FMV that they play Cloud and Tifa's theme one right after the other, so they're cannon...blah blah blah... I'll be it was a smack in the face to the rabids when they heard Aerith's Theme in Cloud Smiles...or maybe not...I doubt they listen to Aerith's Theme often. |

Ahh, thought so. Thanks for the heads up on "Dear Friends". Anyhow, I was just saying, since the Cloti's were so big on saying the main theme was Cloud's theme, wouldn't it be funny that they'd have to eat crow because if what they were saying about Tifa's theme playing equals canon love, then what must 'Cloud Smiles' and 'End Credits' mean then? Btw, here's the link for the piano version of "You're Not Alone": http://s19.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1UG3IHB...4A183KVVY94VIIK Enjoy!

This....is probably my favorite song in the entire movie. It so clearly proved that he loved Aerith and not Tifa. so cute and sweet.
