Good points... Also, IF the scene had been meant to portray what was taken from Cloud (Zack and Aerith) and what could be taken away (Tifa), strange that the memory he pulls up of Aerith isn't of her getting lowered into the water. Instead we're shown the hand-reach scene, the scene where she's praying, and the reflection scene. I thought the question, itself, was quite straightforward. It's just nice to know he thought of her before anyone else...and more than anyone else...

Note too that he was in a life/death situation- he didn't have time to sort out his thoughts. He thought of Aerith first and most...as though automatically. He thought of Tifa once and then the second time, she was together with Denzel and Marlene, so he was really viewing them as a unit. As a family. And family doesn't necessarily mean romance. |
