Also if you are after collector's value try getting stuff signed. I got my Reno and Axel figures signed by Quinton Flynn, Aerith by Mena Suvari and Maya Sakamoto, and Tifa by Rachel Leigh Cook.

:o

*echoes the jealousy waves* Neko is so lucky! The most famous people I've ever met are Shedaisy, and Tamora Pierce the author. *sighs*

Ooooh!! :D I LOVE that pairing Neko!!! There's so little stuff for it though! >_<

I love Spirited Away! I can't get anyone else in my family to try to watch it, though. D:

Me too DivineRose!! *hugs* Don't you adore Haku? XD

My mother and I watched that together and she pointed out all the sexual undertones to me. XD I don't like that movie but it was funny when my mom showed that stuff.

:lmao: I suppose there is, huh? But there really is a lot of that stuff in all sorts of kids shows, you know. They're just too young to understand it.

:giggle: I had film as a subject and the movie was recommended to the class. So true!

The fan made stuff has no collector's value but they can be interesting.

Yep! But I have to be careful in choosing/buying them. That Cloud plush toy with the mini Aerith is a great buy and it's an example of the "interesting" side of fan made stuff. ;).

However, there are some versions of fan-made plush toys and other merchandise that are not accurate with how the characters really look like. For example, I saw a Cloud Strife statue that had green hair.

Whoa, how awkward!

I need to get some Cloud and Aerith merchandise someday. It'll totally complete the manifestation of my C/A obsession if I at least have two huge posters of them on my wall. Bwuahahahaha. >:3 So far I have none... not even a keychain (well I have a keychain of Cloud's Buster Sword, but I don't think an Aerith accessory can compliment that, if there is one). :(

About Spirited Away: Haha, I watched that two years ago, and I really liked it though I never got to finish it. :/ So now finishing that movie is another item on my list of goalz. Haha, and I could agree with Neko's mom--there are many times in that movie where you just need to get your head outta the gutter. It's quite hilarious. I'm sure my brother would be distracted by that kinda stuff if he ever took the time to watch it, heh. =P

I basically fell in love with Quinton Flynn! I can't think of a funnier or better looking guy!

Many of the unlicensed products have inaccuracies so that they can try to say it wasn't that character in court if they are sued or just because they're cheap S.O.Bs.

Here is a photo of my VaanxAshe wall scroll. You can tell it is a fake because...
1) Logo is absolutely wrong
2) The background is an altered version of a XII painting. Stuff is removed and it is repeated in some spots
3) I know for a fact Vaan is lower down Ashe's leg than that. On my other XII wall scroll (Here and here)

And just for giggles here is a few of my figures that because I have 2 or 3 of them I put on on display.
Figures!

I've always meant to read Tamora Pierce's books...
I've never actually met someone famous before, except Bruce Coville, the author. He came to my junior high and some students managed to get passes to see him speak in our library. :fangirl:

The famous people I've actually seen with my own eyes are Katie Holmes and Jonathon (spelling?!?) Davis (the lead singer of Korn). They've both thrown the starting pitch at two different baseball games I've been to. I've also seen all of the members of Within Temptation because I went to a concert, but I didn't get to meet them afterwards because there was no meet-and-greet since there was a curfew of 11:00 PM at the place, and the concert wasn't over until like 10:45. I did see them when we were eating dinner before the concert - they were eating dinner as well like ten feet away from us. :P

I love Haku! I even named two of my Sims Haku and Chihiro, even though they look nothing like the characters...

Neko, I saw you have something from Dear Friends. I'm trying to get my mom to take me to Distant Worlds, is it worth the effort?

:lmao: That's cute, lol. Haku was such a sweetie- my favorite part in that whole movie was the scene where Chihiro tells Haku his real name. It was so sweet!

Ah, Neko! I love your VaanxAshe wallscroll! It's so pretty!

Gaah, Neko I love your VaanxAshe wall scroll! Lucky.

I really don't have that much merchandise...I really need to get some. I'm not content with just one Cloud poster hanging over my bed.

Did you hear? The third one is finally coming out! And there's going to be at least one more book after that, I think! :fangirl:

It's been how many years since the second one came out? I remember when he was talking, and he was saying how he knows it's been forever and he was sorry. He said that he got an e-mail from a woman who said that she loved the Unicorn Chronicles when she was in junior high, but now she's married and has children, and was wondering where the heck the third book was.

I need to reread the books, though.

THE THIRD BOOK IS FINALLY COMING OUT?!?!?!?! WHEN, WHEN?! :hyper:

Yes, I heard that there is going to be at least four- I don't remember what the 3rd is being called, but the fourth will be Last Hunt, correct?

It has been awhile since the second came out- I think I was. . . in Jr. High, so at least 6 years, maybe more? I loved it though- Song of the Wanderer. I was kinda disapointed by the lack of Lightfoot though- I adore him! :fangirl: Ever since I read the first one- when I was what, ten?- I loved him to pieces. Moonheart, Finder, and Bella (I think was her name?) were all well and good, but they just weren't Lightfoot. He's such a sweetheart.

Oooh. Unicorns. And speaking of which, have you guys seen "The Last Unicorn"? :)
I've only seen it once, like, when I was only 7! I'm looking for a DVD copy of it but cannot find any around here.
