Sawboybuck's Lover
|
... I was only 2 when I first tasted beer, all thanks to my old man. '_' According to everyone who saw it, I managed to finish 2 bottles. Boo. <_< 18 is also the legal drinking age in this place where I'm in and it's actually becoming overrated. Like, it's the first thing 18 year-olds do once they get to that age for the first time. I think it all depends on the self-discipline of the person... which can go out of control if unsupervised. I for one do not like the older people telling me when to stop drinking but I make sure I drink moderately and that I don't do it everyday, only on special occasions or when I'm invited to go to a bar. '_'
I think the only factor that makes alcohol consumption difficult to discuss is the fact that people have different drinking habits that vary from one another. Some may be "mature" enough to drink by 18, some may not be able to handle it and just "go crazy on it" or something. :unsure.Gee, the discussion seems to be turning a little serious now. Do we have this in the Lifestream section? ![]() |

My earliest memory of any alcohol in my stomach- how appropriate that we are discussing this in a bar- is when I was three. As soon as it made contact with my tongue, I spit in the glass. I swore never to drink after that. I just expounded on my oath of resistance to alcohol. Aaanyway, my dad says that I will drink and I will like it, and I bet him I won't. I expect to win. I already have diabetes, heart probabilities and the like on my list, I will not risk cirrhosis. PS: I bet you all 50 bucks for each person who responds that you will all give me a hundred bucks each person who responds. LOL |

Alantie has no interest in drinking herself. Tasted alcohol once and it was just nasty, lol. ![]()
I was petrefied of putting my contacts in- it used to take an hour because I was so afraid, but now I pop them in in only a few seconds. :) Woot! Old fogies together!!
No worries CG, I get mistaken for being 16-19 too. D: Probably because I'm so gosh darn short! You speak true though! I agree with Angelwing- CG is very wise.

Zack. You had me at "Oh yeah!". <3
|
I share a room with my sister, and she wants AC all the time, so I have to watch Cloud's waist every single night. Alcohol, I was 4 when I first had some. I'll be honest with you guys, I thought it was coke, because it was in a green bottle, so it looked brown. I ended up drinking half a bottle of wine, then ended up in hosiptal because I was really dizzy. You should have seen the doctor's face when she went, "She's drunk." I need a bit of help. A guy at school really really likes me, but I don't feel the same way. I've been with him before, and because he's the depressed type, he made me depressed as well. So I don't want to be with him again, but I don't want to hurt him either, because he's a self-harmer. Help? |

We got Enchanted on DVD! *squee* Yeah, I was looking forward to it all day. xD I'd love to help you, illwaitforever1, but I have no experience with boys. ![]() People seem to be drawn to me to talk about their problems with them, though. I don't get it.

There's nothing wrong with alcohol. The only problem lies in how people manage themselves around it. Alcohol itself is just a drink, and even then that's a broad way of putting it since there is a flavor or taste nearly everyone will like. For example, I hate beer, but I love sweeter/mixed drinks. Of course if I do decide to get drunk, being drunk on drinks that are half sugar is like begging for a beating. D:Alcohol is very over-hyped, both by people who love it and people who are wary of it. Young people use it as a status symbol because they think that if there's a restriction or a way to misuse it, it will make them a form of "hero" to people their age who aren't as "daring". It's quite ridiculous, but since when are the majority of teens today actually thinking that? ![]() ANYWAYZ. ![]() illwaitforever1: The best/only way to do it is break it to him truthfully. But it's all in how you say it. If you say it in a way that's going to make him feel embarrassed or like he is an outcast, it will become a bad situation. When you tell him, make sure you make his feelings the number one priority and make sure he knows that nothing has changed between you two. You're just not ready for that type of thing or something. D: And Alantie, I'm 5'10" so I don't have that excuse for looking young. |

Alantie is 5''1' I'm mistaken for a young teenager all the time. The only time I haven't been though is when I took my two cousins and younger brother to McDonalds to get some dinner. Some retarded guy thought that my 13 and 6 year old cousin were my daughters and that my bro (16 at the time) was my husband! I about died, rofl.No fair, DivineRose!! I want to get Enchanted too!! D: I heard that on the bluray version there's going to be tons more special features than on the regular DVD version. Which one did you get? I will have to get DVD since we don't have a bluray player thingie. |

Also, peoples' brains only become fully developed after their teen years which is why teens are so impulsive and unable to calculate consequences as accurately as adults
