I agree, yin-chan. It makes no sense for Barret to send Denzel and Marlene's gifts through Cloud when Barret will see them the next day. It makes no sense for Yuffie to send the "Temporarily Closed" sign through Barret, either, if Yuffie is going to see Cloud the next day. Also, why didn't Yuffie just give the sign to Tifa to give to Cloud, particularly if Tifa's going to be at the Reunion the next day? If Yuffie gives the sign to Barret instead of Tifa to give to Cloud, there must be a reason, such as: *only* Cloud's taking the day off tomorrow, and Yuffie didn't want Tifa to be bothered by that. Or Yuffie thought it was more likely that Barret would see Cloud instead of Tifa, since Cloud doesn't live at the Seventh Heaven any more.

I just wanted to say, that I tried the Reminiscence file on my fathers pc and it worked with sound and everything - even though the movie blurs a lot. So the problem was really due to my completely new pc <_< ... There really aren't any subtitles, are they? I have the translated texts of the phone calls, but even though I know more or less what the charcters are saying, I would love to be able to read it with the scenes, especially the in-game scenes. I totally forgot which sound they used but I was expecting Aeris Theme any time. I'm so glad they put it to the ending, dear Aeris deserves some importance .

Did you try the link at TorrentSpy? Here it is: http://ts.searching.com/torrent/418080/Fin...eminiscence_avi. The file uploaded to TorrentSpy is an AVI file, as far as I know. Problem with uploading it to YSI or RapidShare is that it's a rather big file... I take ages just to upload a fricking MP3 as it is. Perhaps someone can send it to you via MSN or AIM or something, if the torrent doesn't work? |

It's very likely a AVI file, because of the file name. Try downloading an official program like BitTorrent just for this. There aren't any spyware, adware, trojans etc. included in it, so don't worry. You can uninstall it after you've finished downloading Reminiscence. |

Is this an official Vid or fanmade? People talking about Nomura made me think it was official but if its just rehashed scenes that makes it sound very fanmade. I'm slightly confused. |

It's definitely official, as it's been released on the Japanese AC DVD (in all editions, I think). It's been a while so I'm a tad fuzzy, but I think Nomura even makes a reference to it during one of his interviews, asking us to watch it as it may "shed light" on the characters... or something like that. And there was definitely a mention from the SE staff about the conclusion to Vincent's cellphone joke from AC in Reminiscence. ;) |

So what IS it exacly? People seem to have tried explaining it, from the attempts i have gathered; Using AC scenes we are led through a 'Cloud traveles tfrom A > B > C >D' with collections of scenes from VII put between each scene with a song to beef it up? Is ANYTHING in it new? If Cloud and Barret meet up there has to be; i dont remember them ever being close toghther in AC or DC, least not in a normal conversationw way. |

It's basically as you described it. The formula is: Cloud rides through Location A, receives a call from AVALANCHE Member A, Series of Game Sequence A. Cloud rides through Location B, receives a call from AVALANCHE Member B, Series of Game Sequence B. Repeat until the end. The only new scenes are of the scenery Cloud rides through as he receives each call. They're not scenes from AC, although they're similar to the ones shown in the CALLING video at the end of the movie. The dialogue between Cloud and each member is also new. It's not anything from AC.
The conversation between Cloud and Barret is new. They never met up like that in AC or DC. However, you never actually see Cloud meeting Barret-- there's just a shot of Fenrir parked by the road, and you hear them speaking off-camera. And... yes, that's really it. A digest of FFVII sprinkled with a bit of new conversations between Cloud and each of his friends. |

I do think it's worth checking out, if you have the time and the internet connection to download it, and the space in your harddrive to store it. And provided you know where to get it, it's free to boot. ![]() I'm not sure if it'll come with the English release, though. But there are translations online already, if you just want to know what's being said. |
