In the retelling of the game that appears in Ultimania, the Cloud x Aeris date is chosen as the one to be represented. I wonder why? see for yourself: http://xthost.info/ffwebnovel/ Keep in mind that this is all published by Square. |

Huh?! Where? Sorry, I'm a slacker, can you tell me, in wich part of that site, may I read that. Is it in "Full Synopsis"? If that's so, then the owner of that site, at the beginning wrote this: "Here you will find a full synopsis of the original FFVII story. The game was released so long ago that I'm sure many of you who watched the movie will have forgotten about it. Thus, I have replayed the game and have written this synopsis..." |

Where did you see it, ftp? Because if it's true... ![]() Although I don't think it ever will be, since SE treasures their fans' interpretations so much. Anyway, if you're referring to the Full Synopsis, Clerith-son is right: the synopsis was written by the webmaster. It's not from any official resource. Also, that site is actually dedicated towards the short stories of Tifa and Denzel, collectively titled On The Way To A Smile. Not the Ultimania, which is something of a gigantic guide to FFVII-the-game and different from the short stories altogether. |

HHm, in the story analysis of the ultimania I saw a picture of the date with Aeris being with Cloud, later however - in another part of the book - they used the date with Tifa and they even wrote down the different texts for each of them including Yuffie and Barret somewhere. So they definitly mention all of them. I don't know what they say about them however. |

Well, Aerith was the default character for the dating mechanism anyways. In Clorith's FFVII Art Collection, one of the cards says: "A promised date that ends in a magical night". There was only one promised date in FFVII-- the date Aerith promised Cloud in return for being her protector. There is also a quote from the game included with the rest- "I think I must have seen him again, in you... But, you're different. Things are different... Cloud... I'm searching for you..." So, not only is Aerith the default character for the date at the Gold Saucer, it appears that her scene with Cloud is the only one being taken into account regarding the storyline.

Even if the affection scores for Aerith and Tifa are the same, Cloud will go on the Date with Aerith. So yes, Aerith is the default date. Tifa is the default for going to the Temple of Ancients with Cloud and Aerith. You can take Tifa out if you want, but she's automatically put in there. I wonder if Tifa's supposed to hear Cait Sith's prediction that Cloud and Aerith are perfect for one another?

Poor Tifa! But it should be obvious Aeris is the default date. Afterall, she promised Cloud a date if he would be her bodyguard. Common knowledge really... |

Oh yeah! I totally forgot about that...even more reason why Aerith would likely be the default date (for those stuborn clotis), it HAS been promised by her, so it would make a loot more sense if she brought it up and that they did go on one... |

I heard that the dating theme in FF7 "Interrupted by fireworks" is played when you fight Tifa in Ergeiz. If that is true, then that would mean it's her theme? |

No, that's absolutely not true. According to CG who has Ehrgeiz, an upbeat version of the Prelude is played when you fight Tifa.

Yeah, it's a lot more sense if Aerith's the default date, she DID promised Cloud. Also, I may further confirmed about "Interrupted by Fireworks" theme since I have Ehrgeiz...if I can progress enough to get to Tifa.

Aerith's date just makes more sense, romantically and plot wise.

Well, in the official Strategy guide (Obviously made by Squaresoft) it says: "In the middle of the night, Aeris comes and asks you to take her on a date. This is the perfect opportunity to tour GS....Blah blah blah Note: Aeris may note come to your room if you've treated her poorly. If this is the case, you may get a visit from another party member." So yeah, I must say that this date is canon. I'll scan the page as soon as I get my scanner working ._. |

Well, in either way, I think the Clerith date is the cutest! Though, I can't say much since I haven't really seen the other dates (I can't possibly be cruel to Aerith!) but from what I heard, I'm like, "Ahh, I still think Aerith's is better." I do think it's a default since like what everyone says, she DID promise a date with him! (Just love that scene.) |
