Sorry, but I'm the non voilent type, great idea thought.
I'm almost to the point of not caring, what happens happens.

heh.. yes. i'm not the violent type either, but cxa is such a great couple. i will never give up on believing :) we should probably pretend its our way if ur a lil stubborn like me. <_< like.. if cloti is the true couple of ffvii ::puke:: (which i highly doubt..), we can still support cxa like hoi.

sorry.. u can all just go back on topic

May I know what does "hoi" mean? :)

I'll explain what I meen later. It not really Greek myth thing,it more of
givng Cloud time to relax,so he can plan things out, like how he will go about reviving her.Sort of a prerequisite.(yea I know,I can't spell that word, but i'm trying right?)

Well, it does really sound similar to the story of Persephone, which is quite the tragic story to begin with. :/. Perhaps it was unintentional, but it really does.

Tifa L.

t's like when you say "you're my destiny" you can swoon (this is just an example, okay?) and if your beloved tells you, "You're the one fated for me" or "You're my fate!" SLAP HIM/HER!

THEN GET THEM A BOOK ON GRAMMAR. XP

But yes, I do think they were destined to be together. It's kinda like Squall x Rinoa. They met each other through the most unlikely of circumstances and then they were reunited once more. The propability of those two events occuring is phenomenally slim. :cleris:

Which, as I said, is a recurring theme in many Square games.

Hahaha. It's fun to interpret that in a psychological manner. Maybe someone had a hang-up in meeting someone...

That's why it's so romantic! Sure it's reused really often, but I happily lap it up each time.

I think the reason why we call it destiny is precisely because the chance of those events occuring again is too coincidental. Thus, we attribute it to outside factors like fate.

yup! it's really romantic, and fate has matched them together.. if cloudxtifa are possible, aren't they just forgetting about aeris? she just doesn't come and go. it's like she made a significant mark in everyone's lives. if they were only meant as "friends" (keeping the way they met), it's a little too strong for only a friendship. cloud is a boy, aeris is a girl, unlikely acquaintance. they saw eachother twice coincidentally too :fangirl:

I still think that how Cloud and Aeris met was like written in the stars. It's destined to be that way, but fated for it to be cut off all of a sudden with death interfering, causing their separation. However, the memory of Aeris in Cloud keeps the destiny intact, therefore fulfilling what's written in the stars. ;) Hee! And once they meet again in eternity, destiny will be truly fulfilled.

*counts the number of times destiny, eternity, fate and fulfilled was written in the post*

Well, I'm not such a strong believer of fate, so I rarely view Cloud and Aerith's meeting as fate. But the coincidence that Cloud ran into her to buy a flower - and then just so happened to crash into her church - now that's a huge coincidence. Maybe...it is fate after all? :P

I guess we'll never know. :P All we can do right now is speculate. ^_^' For non-believers (like me) I would call it "coincidence" or just say, "Gee, what a small world."
Life likes to play with us... or is it fate/destiny playing with us? *gets confused again*

I like the idea of "fate", but I also dislike the idea that it renders the relationship unnecessary to work for. It's like saying that Cloud and Aerith had it all planned out for them; they never had to make any effort at all!

(Which I have actually seen being used as an argument that their coupling is "less realistic" than certain others. :P)

I like to think that Cloud and Aerith's meeting, as well as Aerith's important Cetra heritage, were fated-- but while following the path laid out, a relationship formed that was not in the original equation. Something deep and near-mysterious, which was created through the challenges and tribulations they faced together. The seeds were there, but Cloud and Aerith had to put in the effort to make it work.

Aerith certainly did. ^^ And Cloud tried the hardest he could, too. <3

Of course! As said before, it was all written in the stars. They didn't have to change their fate, it was already planned for them.. so they were totally meant to be :cleris:

In a videogame, nay, in just about any fantasy story there is the "destiny" factor---a fated meeting, a prophecy or whatever. But ultimately, it's the heroes choices that define them. Somehow, I like it better when heroes rise up to meet or even challenge their fate, instead of following a fixed path set for them. I like it better when they defy Powers-That-Be and create their own fates.

I think that Cloud and Aeris have a beautiful relationship. It makes me sad the SQUARE (tm) hasn't put them together yet. But that's okay, because when I play the game, I feel so happy to see that they at least talk to eachother...
