I'm joining. I like these books way too much. After reading these things for like eight years, it's going to be really exciting and probably sad too when the last book comes out. I wonder what it feels like for JK Rowling, the entire world waiting for you to publich your book.

I....didn't sign up?? After HOW many years of obsessing over fangirling over loving Harry Potter to death?? Lemme join, dammit!! ^_^ HP is snazzeh all the way. XD I remember a long time ago I dressed up as Hermione in a Halloween parade, lmao. It was pure fun, holding a "wand".

To be honest, it was my first ever love before Final Fantasy. Since 1st grade. Still into it even to this day, and I've seen the content of the novels mature. Ooo, flirtatiously magical. x] Well, I still like randomly saying the fictional spells and fantasizing things. Never gets old!! ^0^ Plus, the Harry Potter series is a family thing for us -- even our nieces and nephews are digging deeper into it.

ALSO, my fave character is Luna Lovegood. :gift: In person I'm totally like her. ;p

Please sign me up for this club! I LOVE HP. I've been reading the books since as far as I can remember. I have to admit though, I started on the second one. And of course I was like "This doesn't make any sense..." but then I went and read the first one and was like "Oh...ok then. I like this!" So yesh, thats my incredible story. Anyways, my favorite book was the second one. I love it because thats when you learn more about Tom Riddle's *aka Voldemort's* past through the Diary, and of course...TEH POLYJUICE POTION. XD

I'm also such a fanon whore lover in this series...oh my yes...Dramione being the favorite. I'm growing fond of Ron and Luna as I'm re-reading the fifth one, but Dramione takes the cake. Even though it will NEVER happen, and everyone knows it will be Ron and Hermione...but I can dream, right?

Anyways, thats my two cents on HP. Please sign me up!

Welcome, everyone!
I’m rereading the 5th one as well and all I can say is…I MISS SIRIUS so much! Will seriously throw something at the wall if he doesn’t appear in some form in the 7th book.

Am not sure how they’re going to pull off the Harry and Sirius closeness, in the OotP movie since they almost completely ditched his character in movie four.
And sorry but I don’t like Gary Oldman as Sirius. He’s a good actor, yeah, but he’s not the Sirius I imagined(I wanted someone like Jim Caviezel!)
*hunts Marauder fics to quench her Sirius thirst*

Same here Kusari! <_< I've always imagined Sirius to look alot like Laguna

A beef of Sefie's:
Since the release of HBP, I've heard alot of people complaining about Harry's "sudden" crush on Ginny.
It wasn't as "sudden" as most people think. It was almost an entire school year in blossoming. And he had the summer before that, spending all his time with her and their friends.
People seem to be thinking of these characters as plot devices in a novel, rather than the realistic people JKR has been trying to make them. They want books worth of foreshadowing, they want Harry's feelings to progress at a snail's pace. THIS IS NOT REALISTIC. Harry suddenly realizing his feelings for Ginny are romantic ARE. I've done it too many times to count. And may I bring to your mind Lavender's sudden crush on Ron?

Everyone likes it/thinks it interesting to some extent. I think it's the Aerith/Sephiroth of the HP fandom.

As for Sefie's beef, let's put it this way:
A guy comes up to me saying "Hey, guess what? Right now my best friend's crazy about my little sister. And she liked him for ages, but he never noticed her, and now that he has, she's dating another guy!"
Very real-life situation...just like Harry/Ginny
Then what if the guy says "And you know, I've liked my best girl pal for ages, and she's liked me back, but we're both acting like fools right now, going out with other people we don't really like to make each other jealous!"
I think the two 'main couples' of Harry Potter are realistic enough. ;)

Timeless too! Ron/Hermione is like Han Solo and Princess Leia(bickering couple and closest to the hero) and Harry/Ginny is like Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade(quieter hero and his fiery love interest)

Oh and I wanna comment about the more 'minor' Remus/Tonks couple. I never saw any basis fr it, I still think they're a very odd couple, and I can better see the hip, clumsy Tonks with someone young and fun-loving like Bill or Charlie Weasley. But as someone pointed out, at least poor morose Lupin is getting some love. He certainly deserves it.

I also wish people would quit bashing Lavender...yes, Lavender! She's just a harmless ditz who loves snogging "Won-won" :)

EDIT: Tonks. Whoa, not what I had imagined. She looks more like an eccentric teacher than a kooky, clumsy Auror. But ah well, she looks like she'd be a good match with David Thewlis(Lupin)

No way! That can't be Tonks. :cray: It may be just me, but she really looks older than I imagine this heroine.

btw, sign me up! I can't believe I missed this club! <_<

Tonks! <33 I think she's adorable, not exactly what was in my mind, but still. She passes as Tonks for me.

As for the hair thing, well, she does swtich at various times in the movie from purple to pink and spikey to long and curly. So it's not bugging me too much.

Really? She looks fairly young to me. Tonks is supposed to be in her mid 20s or something, isn't she?

What bugs me about the movies is the LACK of robes. In movie 3, all the students are wearing street clothes. It just bugs me.

YES Zelda. That just struck me as SO utterly ridiculous. Do we remember all the wizards trying to wear muggle clothes in GoF? Remember how they didn't know HOW? If they had grown up wearing muggle clothes, one would think they'd rememeber it <_< Freaking directors

*pats Sefie* There there.... We all feel the same.

Wasn't Tonks supposed to have a round face? For some reason I always imagined her that way. I never imagined her as the ultimate sexy witch with sexy leather and sexy makeup. Really, I didn't. But I don't care what they do with the movies anymore. From the moment I saw muh werewolfie and muh doggie, I cursed the directors and lost my faith in any other movie. Was I the only one bothered by the werewolf's appearance? >_< And the actors, gosh... Just... no TT_TT And what's with the Patronus sending out waves instead of hitting the dementors right on? Hitdeer, kthnxbai.

So... I'd rather reread the books and make drawings about them. My chibi Harry looks cuter than Daniel Radcliffasdf could ever hope to be xD Oooor I could always go to that site full of lovely RonxHermy fluff. The art is gorgeous. <3 (way beter than mine) x3

As for the last book... who wants Harry to die? I DON'T!! TT^TT He better get married and have 13 kids like his teacher said he would. <3 Poor Ginny, though... xD

Tonks is supposed to have a heart-shaped face and violently pink hair. I imagined her more to be kooky rather than sexy.

Oh, latest news say that there will be no Quidditch at all in the fifth movie and the Weasley is Our King subplot "may be" in the HBP movie :headbang:

In one of JKR's interviews, she accidentally implied that the Trio would survive the series :)
Yes, I want him to survive and make lots of little red-haired green eyed Potters. XD Nobody deserves a happy ending more than Harry.

Daniel Radcliffe still isn't my Harry, but I thought his acting improved in the 4th movie, especially during the emotional parts. Rupert Grint's grown on me and I thought he nailed Ron in GoF. The twins finally lived up to Fred and George.

Emma Watson, on the other hand...*sporks*

I heart this drawing so much! Poor Hermione...and Ron's face is priceless!

You lucky lucky lucky lucky girl. Luna is my favourite too, she's got a smashing personality and is the best character in the history of any book. Ever. (Did that make sense?)

I gotta join! I became an HP nerd over the Summer, PoA, GoF, OotP and HbP within 4 weeks, and I'd never read a book in my spare time before. That shows how much these books reek of awesomeness.

They must be insane. Really. I LOVED that part and for me it is very important. Kinda shows Ron's character (which the movies' directors usually decide to ignore).
