Because of the deaths that are to take place in book 7? Or because of something else?

Oh pssh, I refuse to listen to any "spoilers". Nobody can really know how it ends. Furthermore, my reservation was lost too! My boyfriend reserved it for me for Valentine's Day, and then the other day he received an email saying they didn't get the charge on his credit card T_T |

Some book stores shipped it out early, and now the ending's leaked. I for one am quite afraid that when I line up at Borders tomorrow to pick up my copy, someone's going to be tempted to do a drive-by spoiler shout out.

Both. Only a day now. Sefie and Sadhana: Your fears are valid. I know someone who is getting a group together to rent an advertisement van just for the occasion. The kind with an electronic billboard on the back. I think we know where this is going. I'm sure the Borders' in Dallas is going to have a very loud, fiery night. XD Hehehehehehahahah~! XD I guess I don't mind spoilers because I'm still gonna wanna know how things happened. I'm not gonna waste my reservation just because someone forewarns me of a few things. |

Finally read the book (fear my ability of speed reading!!!). Whoa. Can honestly say I like how it went. A bit sad, because some of the "offed" characters I genuinely like. Oh wells... Um, will wait for a few more days before talking about the spoilers... |

Same here! Took me officially 12 hours and 56 minutes. (I haven't slept in about 36 hours.) NO SPOILERS! That was the single most emotionally jarring experience I ever had with a book. From pouring tears to laughing a few minutes later. Wow. Just because I have to congratulate myself, I'm very happy with some of the things I was able to predict correctly. But there was quite a bit I wouldn't have predicted. Good luck to those who haven't read it yet. It's a true journey, and my new favorite book in the series. |

LOL. It's not all that exciting...but getting to see Luna on the screen again is something to look forward to. <3 I hope they make Deathly Hallows R-rated. I won't go into why until a few other people have said they've finished (would hate to spoil someone) but those who have read it should know why. I would also love for them to make a movie with 2 parts so it can be really long. |

I got mine at work at 2am (lunch time) on the 21st. There were so many people in the store! But still, I wanted to be down town making wands with the rest of the Potter lovers! I'm over half-way now. It's hard to put it down, but I really must sleep now. I took a certain death very very hard for some strange reason. I'd hate to keep progressing at work and start blubbering in front of everyone! I think I might anyway LOL. |

I was on line at the midnight opening in NY, read it in one day and just....blah. No spoilers, but to be honest, JK's writing just keeps getting more and more fan-ficcy imo. I mean, there were some really good parts, but others it was just like..."WHAT NO STFU JK". To me anyway. |

Seen the OOTP movie, as well as gotten Deathly Hallows on Sunday, 22nd July, just finished it on 23rd July, 5:35pm (yes, I've checked, sue me). First thing first, the movie. It's hovering between fairly and pretty good; somewhere around 7-8.5/10. I enjoyed the Dumbledore's Army practices, the sense that Harry is actually doing something to help prepare his fellow peers. Luna's scenes made my inner Harry/Luna fangirl giggled insanely, though my inner H/Hr fangirl is fairly content with fandom. (How those two coexist together inside me, I have no idea...) Ginny seems like she haven't had enough scenes, aside from showing her strong magic. I do wonder how they'll pull off HBP movie... As for the Deathly Hallows, I have...fairly mixed feelings about it. But I'll wait until the rest of you guys finish before talking about the spoilers. Also... I blame my friend, he revealed several spoilers due to someone (supposedly) posting the chapters onto the 'Net and when he read it, he decide to tell me when found out I got the book. Note to self, get a toy wand and poke him, incessantly. |

Dood...just dood. I think the last book was PERFECT. I couldn't think of a better way to end the series(though I am bummed about some of the deaths), and I personally loved the epilogue, although it's not very well liked by most of the Potter community. Zelda, I'm not sure what you're talking about being fan-ficcy when it's the original cannon work. Is it the romance you're not liking? |

So excited! I've never been to a midnight release before for a book, but I've been reading this series for 10 years now and it was the magic of my childhood. Might as well go out in a big party at Borders in the middle of the night!
