I'm getting pretty excited for this book as well. I dont know who's going to die. I would have hoped that Rowling would give us a happy ending...especially for all of her devoted readers. I mean, hell, a lot of people grew up with these books. I was still in high school when the first one came out. It's just too bad that she's planning on killing off characters...I know a lot of things are about life and death, but her books went from lighthearted to dark...it's kinda freaky, the transition of the Harry Potter world, even if it were intended. |

The thing is, I don't feel a "happy ending" is very realistic at all for this kind of story. Think about it. Many loved ones were lost in the first war, and I don't see how the second should be any different. Rowling herself points out the bad guys go for the main characters, not the ones on the sidelines. All of them getting out of something so dangerous unscathed seems very, very unrealistic to me. You can't take on an all powerful evil and not make sacrifices - nice people don't always live simply because they're nice and we like them. I hate to rain on anyone's parade, but yeah. XD; |

"Warner Brothers announced in a press release today that Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint are all officially signed on for the Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows films." Well, that's good to hear. Was worried for a bit that Emma wasn't going to sign on for Hermione but luckily enough she has. Much better to see the original cast through to the end. |

I already knew that Radcliffe was gonna stay on..and I have to admit, I'm not too wild about Emma staying. She REALLY over-acted in the last movie, her eyebrows were all OVER the place! I realize that it may just be the director's fault, but I'm really not liking what she's doing with Hermione. |

No Sefie, I don't think it was the director's fault. There's only so much a director can do to help an actress but in the end its up to the actors/actresses. I think you're right in that Emma really overacted in the last movie. I was trying my best to like her, thought she did pretty well in the first two movies (though still over the top, it seemed to fit with the young Hermione). But now that she's older and her character's older, I'd hoped that she would turn it down a little bit. But most of the lines she delivered in the movie were so heavy and labored. I'm not looking forward to what she does when she has to act jealous towards Won Won and Lavendar. In any case, we'll see whether she improves herself or not. I think she'd do well with a few acting experiences outside of HP to bring something to her character. I know both Rupert and Dan will have benefited from their experiences. |

The Covers are out for the American and UK Versions of the Book!!!![]() The UK Cover ![]() The American Cover What do you think? I can think of a few things to point out namely: - Hermione and Ron are wearing ceremonial robes in the UK version but HP is not - could that scene be during or before Fleur and Bill's wedding? And Harry just isn't prepared? - That armor...does it = Godric Gryffindor's stuff...over a pile of ...gold? Gringotts? Goblin world? Are they trying to recruit Goblins? lolz - What's with Dobby and the sword? And why's he covering his face? Somewhere that House elves can't look upon? - Okay so now for the UK cover - they're using wandless magic! Well they have to cuz of Priori Incantatem. - It looks like Harry is reaching for something! But what? - Where are they exactly? Beyond the veil? Remember, Luna e xpressed her belief that the people beyond the veil weren't dead, just hiding beyond view. Maybe it's a place that normal people outside the veil can't see what's inside. But when they go through, they see what's really there but can't get back? But how are Harry and Voldemort surviving then? - What's with the thing around Harry's neck? Slytherin's locket? Okay well that's all really for now. Beautiful art! Edit: You can see the bigger files right here. |

Woooow, the Voldemort/Harry showdown looks RAD It looks like they're both reaching for the same thing, hmmI think that the thing around Harry's neck is Slytherin's locket, and it's also on the cover of the UK adults version. I guess the locket's gonna be a really important horcrux, but why? Is it going to end up being the last? |
