F F X I I . . . . . . . * S P O I L E R S* . . . . . . The romantic speculation did come from the ending I believe where Ashe seems distraught about what happenened at the Bahamut. Well that's what it said in the ending reports anyway That Ashe was upset at the possible loss of Bal but then the ring was returned to her addressed "Memories of My Princess" or something That's where people were getting it from that I saw anyway. For me though Asheler + Balran 4eva though

Well, it's because Wein(?) wasn't necessarily a bad guy. He really just wants Ivalice to be free, and he felt cracking a few eggs would be necessary to achieve that goal. I can't help feeling as I finished the ending that Ashe and he would have settled it all peacefully. But circumsatnces made it impossible for that choice. They both had to make a stand. Anyway, my impression. And Ashe already looked sad at the Bahamut's ruins (she can see it from her palace) even when she was holding the letter from Balflear. If she does love him, wouldn't she looked happy about the fact that he was alive? It can't be because of Fran, because the letter made no mention of her. |

I don't remember if I post here but the reason I do now is... My uncle's friend got a copy of the game in Japanese and burned it into a disk for me to play. This'll keep me happy until the English version comes. From what I read, this game seems cool and Vaan made me think of Tidus.

I've only ever watched clips of FFXII, and from what I saw, Vaan seems like Tidus, Penelo seems like Rikku, and Ashe seems like Yuna. Then again, that's all I know.

Holy crud, forgot to add the ending. ^^;; *spoilers* Vaan gets to pilot Balthea's ship and got them all to safety (he and Fran were left behind to activate Bahamut's engine as to veer it away from crashing into the city). Balthea told Vaan to take care of his ship, while Ashe tells him that he musn't die. Rasa told the Archadians that Vayne is dead, and that the war is over. We cut to one year later where Penelo narrates what happens to everyone else (she looks a LOT better. Why didn't SE used that character model?). Ashe is back managing her country, Basch literally takes over his brother's identity to continue his work of protecting Rasa (ditto as Penelo, Basch looked studly). Vaan and Penelo saw that Bathea's ship was gone one day, though the owner was thoughtful enough to give them money and Ashe's ring for the trouble (whether Fran survived her wounds was left up in the air, though I had a feeling she's alright), it's a shame Balthea and Fran never made an appearance. Vaan bought a new ship of his own, in which he always brings Penelo along (so I don't get the whole, he became a space pirate and left her alone thing, she was just shopping and waiting for him to pick her up). *spoilers* Nice way to tie it all up really. The artwork in the credits is squeeworthy. XD |

Anti-R, was there a stinger for the ending of FFXII? I've heard some various things about the ending, but all I can find on Youtube is the ending right before the credits. I wondered if you knew what the stinger at the end was. ![]() I can't wait to play it, lol. From just watching the opening and ending, it looks wonderful.

Wikipedia says that "although it is never said, it is possible that he (Vaan) could pursue a romantic relationship with either Penelo or Ashe further into the future." Though, it looks as if *spoiler*Penelo and Vaan are the ones who pretty much end up together*spoiler*, from Anti-R's account. Yeah, never rely on Wikipedia but I just wanna make sure...

Do you think that there's a possibility that there will be a FFXII-2? ![]() I can see it now.... 2 years later..... The bad guys are plotting to overthrow their queen, a sky pirate arrives to help her, and they fall in love in the process. Man, I dream too much.

I am agreeing to Evenstar on that pairing. But that won't stop fanbases, nonetheless. What stinger, Wingless? As for a sequel. We'll see. Though I don't see how it can be possible though. |

It's quite possible. Maybe they'd make one to clear up any confusion. Anything can happen, right? :) |

Oh, normally there's a stinger at the end of the credits for Final Fantasies. Like Red XIII running toward Midgar with his kits at the end of Final Fantasy VII. I was wondering if Final Fantasy XII had one too, because I haven't actually been able to find a full version of the Final Fantasy XII ending yet. So I was curious. ^_~I think sequels are a little silly, to tell the truth. I don't know about planned sequels, like for Final Fantasy XIII, but I think for the most part Final Fantasy games should be just that: the Final Fantasy, with XII being the only XII and so on. Unless it's so obscure and ambiguous and leaves lots of loose ends like VII, but I have a feeling XII isn't as ambiguous as VII is.

Nope. No stingers. After the credits ended, the game automatically shows the main new game/load game screen. |

Look at Advent Children, etc, the sequences of FFVII What we discovered..... - Tseng didn't die - Rufus didn't die - Aerith was responsible for the Lifestream and helped Cloud find his lost memories - Denzel was orphaned by the Sector 7 incident - and..... CLOUD LOVES AERITH! (That's all I can think of) ;) |
