I don't know what that is, so I'm guessing I don't.

In case readers don't know, Paolini made the change to quintet because he realise the 3rd book will be extremely long and big if kept to a trilogy, hence the decision.

Also, I mis-read the dates, since mum corrected me. Brisingr will be out in September, not August like I thought.D8

If no one minds me asking, why does everyone think Murtagh is so awesome? Don't get me wrong, I really like him, but he never once struck me as a totally ~awesome~ character like some people say. Maybe that's because I felt most of the characters in the books were pretty bland, but whatever.

Well, it is your opinion, after all. To me, I like some characters (Saphira, Brom, Murtagh, Roran...) and others not quite as so (Arya).

And even though it might never happen, I still wish for Murtagh/Nasuada.

I always thought that he was kind of bland, but he seemed better thought out than the other characters. He actually seemed to have a story other than Eragon (who seemed like a Gary-Stu to me)

....I'm totally stalking this thread XD

I have a Shelfari, Damaged. ^_^

Why Murtagh? Because he's a whole heck of a lot better than most of the cast. He's not perfect or perfectly flawed, and he's much more interesting with his background and his personality. And he's got that whole reluctant hero/reluctant villian thing. He doesn't want any part of what's giong on at all- he'd be perfectly content to stay locked up in a safe room.

I kinda agree with the cast being bland. :/ They have potential, but sometimes I feel there's a severe lack of something in them, you know? I don't know if it's that they feel too static or two dementional, or if they lack emotion or what, but there's just something missing. Murtagh and Saphira are both really good characters, however. And I sort of hate Eragon- Gary Stu to the extreme!!

I found you and sent you a friend request, then I read that you wanted people to tell you beforehand. GAH! Sorry!

But yes, I couldn't have said that better myself Alantie. Thanks for putting what I thought into words XD

I love Murtagh, but I'm not quite sure why. He has a general coolness to him that I just find enjoyable. And in Eldest, the way he acts is just really interesting. I enjoy most of the characters though. Even the more obscure ones like Angela :D

:D No problem, I accepted you! I have that mainly because I don't want people just trying to rack up their friend count friending me. I want people who are actually interested in being friends and discussing books. Which I am assuming you do. :P

Ah, you are welcome! I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about it. <3

Mmm. I'm going to try and read the Vampire Hunter D novels soon, hopefully. I've also got This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen on my to read list. ^_^

Okay, who is Angela again? I've read both books, but I can't remember her.

Angela is the witch old woman who read the dragon knuckle bones for Eragon to tell his fortune.

Yeah, I remember being fairly amused by her when I first read it. Then again, I like Sheba the Witch in the Rowan of Rin books, and other good old women with special skills. *insert witchy cackles*

Good, good. :D

So, does anyone else here like the Old Kingdom Trilogy by Garth Nix? If so, good news for us fans!! Nix announced on his blog that it is highly possible that a Sabriel movie will soon be in the works. He's been working with a director and producer, so cross your fingers! Not only that, but we will be seeing two more additions to the Old Kingdom books! The first, set to be released in 2010 will be about Chlorr of the Mask before she became evil. The second, to be released in 2011 picks up a few years after Abhorsen.

*jumps up and down happily*

Just finished Forever in the Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood, the last book of the traveling pants series. Devoured it in one sitting. :P Although my older sister loved it, I still prefer the Princess Diaries, if we're talking about YA chick lit. :D
