Who Will Die In Ac?; Someone usually does...

Will a character die in AC? If so, who do you think it will be?

I think there's a good chance of Cloud dying, since he has Geostigma. If it isn't Cloud, though, my next guess would be Tifa. I heard the Cloti's claiming that "someone" heard Nomura say on Japanese television that he wouldn't kill off Tifa, but I never saw that substantiated. Her death would rival the impact of Aerith's death in FFVII, and it would get people off Square's back about who Cloud would end up with. I think they might just do it.

What do you think?

If anyone will die, I'd say Cloud has the best chance. It would just fit. With the movie's theme being survival, it would be like Square to have someone die. Just like FFVII, the theme was life and Aeris died. I think I would actually like to see Cloud finally get peace after all these years of pain. Especially with Aeris.

Hmm, I'd love to say Cloud but it would appear that they still have lot of plans for FFVII and killing Cloud would somewhat put an end to this beautiful story.
I want AC to be tragic, as you all know (I want to cry my eyes out ), but I have this bad feeling that we're not going to see someone die as Aerith died in FFVII. Of course death will be present in this movie but I think we will only get to see some of those meaningless people die and no one else.
It seems that in FF games after FFVII they are actually afraid to kill anyone, at least any of the playable characters. And in my opinion at least, that is a pity.

In FFVIII they almost killed Rinoa, and I am ashamed to say that I was actually disappointed when she didn't die after all. Not that I wouldn't like her, but it would have made the story so much more tragic.

Although after writing all that and thinking again I begun to think about Dirge of Cerebrus where Vincent is the lead and the game is set after the events of AC. So far there has been no talk that Cloud would be in that game and that makes me think what happened to him and the others. How on earth will AC end. It is incredibly interesting, I want to see the movie already! :D

I would have to agree although I don't like to admit it. If anyone is going to die I'd place my bets on Cloud. :( It would be both happy and sad if he died. Sad because he died but happy because he is finally with Aeris. :)

I think Cloud will die... I mean, at some point in the movie, he felt that he has nothing else to live for... It would be nice to see the guy peaceful.

But for me, a nice twist would be that most of the main characters in FF7 will die along with him... and the only being left would be Vincent, since apparently, he's still alive for Dirge of Cerberus. Of course, if they all meet Aerith in the end--Tifa included--that would be yet another open-ended ending for the story, with the possibility of leaving the Love Triangle issue unresolved yet again. I can feel Square's evil laughter once more...

As wonderful as it would be to see Cloud die in some tragic way, I just fear that is not going to happen in AC.
Square can get so much more out of FFVII and AC, and I am of course talking from a financial point of view. Cloud is very loved and liked, and killing him at this point might be bit too much. I'm sure they want him to have a role in whatever they plan to create in the future.

Cloud is without a doubt the most famous and popular FF character of all time. They could sell almost anything by just saying that Cloud will appear in this and that, his name alone is worth much and will ensure that many, fantatic fans will buy whatever they are selling. ^_^

Yes, but does Cloud have to be alive for that to happen?

Tidus is in Itadaki Street, Tidus was in FFX-2, Zack was in Ehrgeiz, Zack is in AC, Sephiroth is in Ehrgeiz, Kingdom Hearts, and AC... Aerith has been in numerous games, too. So I don't think Cloud has to stay alive in order to appear in other FF games. ;)

Honestly I don't know if I want any of the characters to die.
If I were to say who might in Advent Children, it would either be Cloud, Tifa or the bad guys. It won't be known till the movie is released but these are my guesses.

 I think Kadaj will die!

*cries*

Cloud.. well maybe, maybe not... if he doesn't die, i'll find it a little strange if he suddenly decided to move on with Tifa, or something.. he's not really that sort of guy... that's the impression he gives me... so even i he doesn't die, i think he would be MIA :ph43r:

I think Cloud will die... and I wish he would die! <_<

Nah. I don't hate him. I just want him to die for the love of cake!

*I actually have a hidden agenda on why I want him to die but I don't think I'll be saying it here...* ;)

Of course, you have a point there. It's a well known RPG fact that a character does not need to be alive to be in a game.

But still you can't compare those characters you listed there to Cloud. Sephy might be the only one of those who comes even close to his popularity. But I don't think even Sephy is as widely known as Cloud is all around the world. Not even our sweet Aerith is the kind of star Cloud is around the world. ^_^

But yes yes, I know what you mean. And now that I think about it, they could make Cloud even more interesting if no one is sure if he's dead or alive, good or evil. I still want to play a game where Cloud is the main villain (even though he wouldn't be really a bad guy, he is just on his own quest that is in conflict with the players), or if that idea is bit too much for people then at least make him a really big question mark so while you meet him several times through the game you are never sure if he is helping you or is he against you. That's what I want. :D
