It's funny, but there are quite a few Lifehouse songs that remind me of Cloud and Aerith. I think 'The Edge' fits really well with the flower field scene in AC. Flowers are blowing in the wind and I can see the sun setting on the hill it's almost gone and the hills are greener than I've ever seen and this feels too real to be just another dream now don't let me leave this moment hold me in this place where everything is clearer than of all before and everything makes sense and you say stand on the edge and don't be afraid to fall take a breath and tell me what you see and you say stand on the edge and don't be afraid to fall take a breath and tell me what you see as we sat down by the water in my mind I felt a gentle breeze blow soft against my face and we talked for hours it didn't seem to matter what about as long as I was there with you yeah you showed me what it is to believe in something greater than I can understand yeah you showed me what it is to believe and you say stand on the edge and don't be afraid to fall take a breath and tell me what you see and you say stand on the edge and tomorrow don't close your eyes take a look around you and tell me what you see tell me what you see tell me what you see 'Storm' makes me think of Cloud and how he feels at the beginning of AC, how he wants to meet Aerith again, because if she was there everything would be alright. How long have I been in this storm? So overwhelmed by the oceans shapeless form. The water's getting harder to tread with these waves crashing over my head. If I could just see you everything would be alright. If I could see you this darkness would turn into light and I will walk on water, and you will catch me if I fall, and I will get lost into your eyes and everything will be alright, and everything will be alright. I know you didn't bring me out here to drown, so why am I ten feet under and upside down. Barely surviving has become my purpose 'cause I'm so used to living underneath the surface. and I will walk on water and you will catch me if I fall and I will get lost into your eyes and everything will be alright and everything will be alright. And finally, 'Everything' reminds me of our fave cute couple. I think it's the light imagery again, the idea that he'll find peace if she leads him, and just the gentle feel of the song. Find me here and speak to me I want to feel you I need to hear you you are the light that's leading me to the place where I find peace again you are the strength that keeps me walking you are the hope that keeps me trusting you are the life to my soul you are my purpose you're everything and how can I stand here with you and not be moved by you would you tell me how could it be any better than this yeah you calm the storms and you give me rest you hold me in your hands you won't let me fall you still my heart and you take my breath away would you take me in take me deeper now and how can I stand here with you and not be moved by you would you tell me how could it be any better than this cause you're all I want you're all I need you're everything everything you're all I want you're all I need you're everything everything (repeat x3) and how can I stand here with you and not be moved by you would you tell me how could it be any better than this? |

They have another song called "Breathing". I think it also fits them.

Yep, Breathing has a CxA feel to it too, I think. ;) Somebody Else's Song reminds me of Cloud in the Lifestream confused over his memories. Somebody Else's Song can't change this feeling I'm way out of touch can't change this meaning well it means too much never felt so lonely never felt so good can't be the only one misunderstood cause I remind myself of somebody else I'm feeling like I'm chasing like I'm facing myself alone I've got somebody else's thoughts in my head I want some of my own I want some of my own I want some of my own can you see me up here would you bring me back down cause I've been living to see my fears as they fall to the ground I remind myself of somebody else I'm feeling like I'm chasing like I'm facing myself alone I've got somebody else's thoughts in my head I want some of my own I want some of my own I want some of my own I want some of my own am I hiding behind my doubts are they hiding behind me closer to finding out it doesn't mean anything cause I remind myself of somebody else I'm feeling like I'm chasing like I'm facing myself alone I've got somebody else's thoughts in my head I want some of my own I want some of my own I want some of my own |
