I think the point is: Is the movie being banned? The answer is, no. Protests and economic decisions aside, the question remains: is "Brokeback Mountain" being banned? The answer is, again, no. No how, no where. Repeat, name one incident of banning the movie. I would think that such an action would be on national TV. Why not? Because it has not happened. |

Well, the answer to your point is no it has not happened. I say your point because you're the only one talking about that. |

Spike Doesn't that go straight to the heart of the issue? Gays aren't banned from any community either; they may be socially banned or monetarily banned, but not outright banned. It's the sentiment of the community. (China banned the movie) |

Please read the previous posts. It was strongly implied, by several posters, that the movie was banned. It was not banned, that is the ONLY thing that I was trying to state. BTW, I was not the only one talking about the screening of the movie, that is what the whole dispute is about. References to "red-neck busybodies" and "red states" are very revealing as to a poster's elitism. On edit: What does China have to do with this discussion? |

"It was strongly implied, by several posters, that the movie was banned." No, it was not implied. OK, I did not read it that way. "References to "red-neck busybodies" and "red states" are very revealing as to a poster's elitism." As that reveals the same elitism. Criminy, when are those old worn out phrases from the 90s going to die out? The intellectual elite are now mostly found in Conservative think tanks--I know, I read them. Why do you think the Democrats are out of ideas. |

Another in Washington, and Virginia possibly. But a business can be narrow minded but cannot according to dictionary.com: "To prohibit, especially by official decree". So only governments, like China, or cities in Australia can ban, and have--China should count, it is a red guard state. Nevertheless... Yes I do, but Andy is the master of spoof. The following sounds to absurd to be true. I must question it, and its sources. Believing all that Andy says, is as bad as believing Rush Bimbo.
