I think I'll "turn" gay, be ostracized by a quarter of the population, have trouble finding a place to rent, suffer discrimination and lack of advancement in my job (if I can GET a job), be talked about behind my back by neighbours and get the sh*t kicked out of myself by some red-neck Ignoramus in a bar one night. Yeah, THAT would be more interesting!" Get a grip.....

When an employee of ours came out and told his family he was gay, his brothers, who had recently been so worried about his recovery from cancer, wanted nothing to do with him. When one of the brothers expressed his feelings to me, I stated almost the same thing to him. Up to that point, he truly believed that their little brother just "chose" to be gay. It's sad that this false impression continues to be supported. It's also sad that people use the bible to ostracize what is probably about 2% of the population. While I understand Jane's analogy, I disagree that this portion of the population should be expected to abstain from sex altogether to make a few homophobes comfortable. Personally, I'm glad that I don't have to go through life as a male and feel an attraction to men and feel no attraction to women; on the other hand, I for one (three ) will not ostracize those that do, nor will I fear them. They have every right to live their lives and search for happiness as do the rest of us.
	Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money...

Without a doubt, there are some people on the "bisexual" fringe that look for any port in a storm so to speak, but those that I have know that are truly homosexual say they have felt different from childhood and attracted to the same sex from day one.
