I had to look at the calendar to make sure it was Thursday and then realized my computer told me the same thing in two places ;)
Going to 32 today - a treat. Holiday weekend should be warm too (35 or so.)
Housecleaning on tap here. :faint: I'm not sure why I got up so early - it wasn't because I was excited about my plans for the day.
C'mon guys, wake up, wake up and have a day :holiday:

Good morning. It isn't raining at the moment. I was wide awake and happened to pass a grocery store, so I decided to stock up. Christmas came early. There was this delightful smell, so I just followed my nose. It is dungeness crab season! The supermarket cooks them for you. I had some left over roasted garlic from dinner, so I had this mini feast before dawn in a supermarket parking lot. Oh yummmm! I'm tempted to go back in and get a couple more.

Have the best of days...

Wow, were all connected this morning Currently: -1° /30° and it 7am. We got up to 12 yesterday. Bruce, still have some snow at your place. Ours has been gone for over a week, well in my area anyway. :unbelievable:

Doc, you sure made me hungry, I love crab meat

I am going to try and finish my shopping after work. I have to remember to buy Nicole a birthday cake also and I still have to get her birthday gift..it never ends.

All the managers are gone for the holidays now. Just three of us working.

Nicole is still home with her bad cold, so it looks like she got an extra week of holidays.

I will be thinking of you Jackie as you will be soooooo busy right now. Now I do no the reason behind the " photo " :melodramatic: just rubbing it in a tad there, but it was a good photo. Your friends and family will love it too. :xmascheers:

Well it's that time, throw on some clothes and go to work.

 later

Good morning to all my friends! Bright sun and cold temps here this morning. I gave the chickens some hot mash (feed mixed with warm water) this morning and they gobbled it up! Then I made scrambled eggs and toast for my Mom and she gobbled that up too.

Feeding people; it's what I do...;)

This will be a busy morning; I have to go to Middletown and do some errands for Mom, then food-shop on the way home. That will be it for me; no more going out until after Christmas!

I'm outta here! :bolt:

Good morning all!!

Gonna be another nice day, with above average temps. But, have to work, so will miss the best part. The store will be a madhouse the next few days, I am sure, but that is ok, it will make the day go faster.

Karen, the reason for the photo???? Yesterday was the first day of winter, and since the temps here this week are above average (70's), we had a brainstorm to get Santa hats, and get our pic taken in the pool. You know, just to rub it in to the folks back home! :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Well, have a good one everybody!!!
Greg, Dylan & Jasper too!

Lots to do today, I made a pasta sauce but didn't make the meatballs, will do that soon.
I woke up this morning at 6 and watched a weird move til 7:30 this morning then back to bed, just so you know why I'm up so late. :)
We may go out tonight with friends to look at Christmas lights, I'll bring some eggnog. :xmascheers:

Everyone have a great day, I see a lot of you will be busy. :merry:

Wolfie, we have a few small patches of snow in the shady spots, It'll probably be gone by this afternoon.

My cats are out doing an inspection right now - these Chinooks really confuse them....

My thermometer says 5C/41F here in the early morning...

Good day all,

Will be a back and forth day checking my list (motorhome list ;) as we leave tomorrow for VA. Having it in our yard is a wonderful, handy thing.

Jackie, loved the sun bathing shots :)

Nice, Jackie...... :fryingpan: :fryingpan: In the high 30's here...:kickcan:

Yes, the stores are madhouses, but at least everyone is in a good mood. I got all the shopping done except the roast; pick that up tomorrow, and some local eggs, at the Country Market. I forgot to buy the Ocean Spray cranberry juice, (3, 64-oz, for $5). Arrgh! but I am not going back uptown just for that, not if they were giving it away!

My chickies are much happier today and have spent the better part of the day making nervous little forays out to the pine tree. They love the sun and the deep pine needles. We all keep an eye on the sky!

Tomorrow the housecleaner comes at 8:30 for a good vacuuming and then I can make the pies. Still trying to decide what kinds; pecan? Not apple; made one at Thanksgiving...something delicious, but light and easy to eat (we have one guest who can't eat nuts or fruit skins).

I'm going to try to get Mom to go out with me tonight to drivee around and look at the lights. Wish me luck!

Santa,
I'm sure you are the reason he looks so happy! He's three and his mom has been bemoaning the fact that he's into that fake smile period, but you clearly brought out the real deal :) He knows class when he sees it!
Make sure to get a lot of rest - you have a big night coming up :sleigh:
