We DID hit +3c this afternoon, though - sounds funny to hear water dripping on the sundeck and patio blocks...

Well we got up to 12 today. I am in sandles again and sweater. Not a bit of snow :snowglass:

Going over to a friends for a bit, I see lots of reading to do. Catch you all later.

Well, now is when I start marking off the improvements, using a positive attitude - for instance, today is the shortest day of the year, which means tomorrow the days start getting longer - no matter HOW imperceptably!

I'm afraid it was probably the soot all over the living room - can't you all see it?

You can see it on the fireplace, right next to Passinthru's head. :fryingpan:

My next guess would have been the glare from John's sneakers :)
To be serious, I do see discolored bricks. Our fireplace is fieldstone rather than brick (I like brick better) and I think some discoloration is natural after fires.
I just asked the guy that did our porch how expensive it would be to remove our fireplace and he said to never do it - the house would lose value.
It's in a really stupid place in our family room and we never use it - we used to. I'd love to get rid of it period, but now we won't.

I remember real estate told us first thing people ask when looking for a house if it's got a fireplace and a jacuzzi.

Only one br and one bath here, but of my the yard! I'm in a small one, right now, so there are only about 800,000 acres. Oh, and this is a "view lot", LOL. Oh, I forgot the security system. Orson grin.
