Chrissy, I should send the boys down. Shame to have two cops/lawyer in that nice neighborhood with no hooligans  :floorrollin:

Kate, not too many kids in the neighborhood, mostly Dr.'s, lawyers and professors, retired, children are grown and out of the house.  I do hear on occasion some zooped up car, but having a son with the boom boxes, cars with muffler problems :pistols: , I can handle it. :fryingpan: :fryingpan: :fryingpan:

Wa-hoooo, I accomplished everything I set out to do, today, and then some! Linens all ironed and in the sideboard, more cookies baked, changed Mom's sheets and dusted the floor, wrapped a few last gifts and put the wrappings away, Now getting the wing room ready for daughter and granddaughter on Saturday night. I am HOPING the storm will be all over by then! I am making a small turkey. Just remembered I have not even given dessert a thought! :faint: Well, ice cream and cookies will have to do. And Chrissy's eggnog...

You haven't baked any cookies? Remember the carpet people are coming Monday!!! :fryingpan: :fryingpan:

I have no people coming. I've cocoaed my last cocoa. I have furniture people coming and then we have work to do. I have no idea what their delivery process is. It's ten pieces of furniture, so I see garage. I don't want them coming in THE ROOM. They will track in snow. I guess we will see tomorrow afternoon.

Don bought some eggnog today. Friends of ours will be up from Texas next week, and for some reason we promised them/him eggnog. Have to find the rum.

Not a one, maybe tomorrow...........I'm starting to get my act together which is really late in the season............
Our daughter's inlaws bring dessert for Christmas, cookies and pies so it's not like I need to make a lot. :faint: I find if I make too many desserts and there's a lot leftover I gain at least 5 - 7 pounds after Christmas. Not a good thing. :fryingpan:

To be honest, I don't know why I made any. I'm not taking them anywhere. I guess because it's Christmas and that's what I do. Then I baked that pie...well, that was for Don, and the kids are coming for dinner Saturday and I do need a dessert.

I guess we'll be forced to eat them :holiday:

:floorrollin: :floorrollin: No I don't suppose tracking snow into the 3 Season room would be appropriate :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Too bad Ed isn't there as he wears size 15 and you could have them pull some of his socks over their boots OR remove them. Come to think of it in that climate bet they are used to it.

Just struck me funny.

Big feet!
Well, my thought was if they track in snow I would have to wash the floor. I just got the floor. It's been covered with drop cloths since it was laid. I want to wash the floor when the temperature is 4?

Pat, don't blame you a bit. Keep them off the new floor! :pistols:

Chrissy, I am going to make the eggnog tomorrow; I make a half recipe at a time, as there's just no room in the refrigerator for the whole thing. Too cold to put it in the back entry; we'd have eggnog ice cream. (Mmmmm, sounds good...)

Whatever you do, don't let the workmen know about the eggnog. You could end up with a really funny-looking upstairs...

Tomorrow, the tree goes up and the last of the cookies get made.

Kate, the painter covers everything with drop clothes and has them up and down the stairs so he doesn't scratch anything. He cleans from top to bottom, fans, light fixtures, vacuums.....Ofcourse he charges by the hour, but this house is getting a once over and I'm happy..........
He's keeps telling me I'm a neat freak...... :fryingpan:

Good idea on the pictures, Chrissy, though our house has very few lights (Mom doesn't like them).

I'll have pictures of the cookies in Seasonings, when they are all done and decorated.
