I totally agree, Mur. I make every effort to keep all appointments 10 or later so I don't have to get moving til at least 830AM

I like 8:30 myself, but you two are preaching to the choir with me. I have been forced to start the day earlier since September (small children have a funny way of eating breakfast or leaving for school by 8 - sick and wrong) and now there has been banging and clanging of workmen by 8. I came down the other morning and it was dark. What's up with that? No matter what time my day had to start when I was younger, I had to have time by myself first so would set the alarm to give myself at least a half hour with coffee and the paper. I will say though that I seem to have more energy the earlier I get up. Maye it is a good thing? |

I also like 8:30 but it's been more like 9:30, 10:00 recently. Problem is going to bed at 1 a.m.........schedule is all off again. To make matters worse I took a nap today and woke up around 5. Not good.

No can't be that Dr put me on thyroid meds said I would FEEL the increase in energy. I do but not THAT big of a surge...sure enough he says thats because your level still not up enough so doubled it. If I start talking about getting up early you will know I have o.d'd on it Kate |

I hate to bring this up, since we're just young things trying to get along, but let's consider the effects of <gasp> age. We're not getting any younger. Wouldn't blood work show if your thyroid was lax? Can you get thyroid meds just 'cause you want them? For some reason, I don't think so. I just read that too much Vitamin A can be toxic. |

I should be getting my bloodwork done soon and make an appt. with the dr. Sugar levels were high. NO they won't give you medication for thyroid unless there is a problem. Getting old? yes, but I've always had difficulty sleeping through the night. I started walking at a park now too far from here. I know that will help with weight loss and should help me sleep better at night. |

Yep...blood test showed low thyroid. I was way overdue for physical no clue on thyroid and I think Dr (friend for years) and I both assumed what Pat said...age (and weight). Plus he always says "lets face it you and Ed have had more than your fair share of anxiety" as parents He never hesitates to give me prescription for what ails me. BP up a bit but again, not enough for meds. The BIG surprise is thats all that showed up...I will know exact reading on chloresterol in 6 weeks when I see him but no concern...must be the Merlot Chrissy, have you had a blood test lately? It had been years for me. Kate PS: I have shared previously that I am on sleep meds, have been for some time now. Dr says no problem, no side affects. Stop reading Pat poor ol Vitamin A. Kate |

Anxiety??? Let's go there. I cannot believe how much better I feel now than I did in early September. I was a basket case...you all know that. Stress is big. Too bad about Tom Cruise You can only take what you can take and then something has to start showing the effects. I am on meds for BP and see the Dr. twice a year - blood work at one appt. I think your numbers show a fair amount - especially if they feel they need to look at something. |

Kate I had blood work 6 months ago. I'm on a water pill for blood pressure. Dr. wanted me to lose weight and exercise. Does that mean I have to give up the Clamdiggers and appetizers? Now that the weather is cooler I don't mind getting out and walking around. I don't take anything for sleeping.......a sip of Scotch sometimes at night.

I enjoy it but alcohol inhibits my sleeping, never helps me (doesnt stop me but doesnt help me). I am not a napper either. Heather, you are a hoot :toot: Kate |
