we're not as cold as you folks north of us, but it's pretty cold for us down here.
freezing rain on the roads last night.
but had a fire going and spent the evening finishing up the Christmas tree, 9 ft tall and about 7 strings of lights and a hundred ornaments...good thing daughter in law and granddaughter are here to help me, otherwise, I think I'd just go with a little table top tree and be done with it. lol

I know this has happened to you. This song comes on the radio. "Dang, I know this song. Who the heck was that?"

In the lyrics was "the worst that could happen" You know the song. Pause here and do a mental lookup. It really bugged me. I just had to know.

Tell me when you are ready.

The group was called the Brooklyn Bridge. The lead singer liked to call himself Johnny Maestro. His real name was John Maestriani. Did his voice sound familiar? In a dozen years, you wouldn't make this connection to a previous hit song. Are you ready for this? "Sixteen candles..." Yup, same guy.

Here you go Doc.

The Brooklyn Bridge
- words and music by Jim Webb
- #3 hit for The Brooklyn Bridge in 1969 (released November 1968 - entered the
Billboard Top 40 January 4, 1969)
- lyrics as recorded by The Brooklyn Bridge and included on the 1990 CD from
Dominion Entertainment called "Rock-n-Roll Years - 1968" (Dominion 0801-2).

Girl, I heard you're getting married
Heard you're getting married, this time you're really sure
And this is the end, they say you really mean it
This guy's the one that makes you feel so safe, so sane and so secure
And, baby, if he loves you more than me
Maybe it's the best thing
Maybe it's the best thing for you
But it's the worst that could happen to me

I'll never get married
Never get married, you know that's not my scene
But a girl like you needs to be married
I've known all along you couldn't live forever in between
And, baby, if he loves you more than me
Maybe it's the best thing
Maybe it's the best thing for you
But it's the worst that could happen to me

And, girl, I don't really blame you for having a dream of your own
Hey, girl, I don't really blame you
A woman like you needs a house and a home, baby
If he really loves you more than me
Maybe it's the best thing
Maybe it's the best thing for you
But it's the worst that could happen

Oh, girl, don't wanna get married
Girl, I'm never, never gonna marry, no no
No, it's the worst that could happen
The worst that could happen
Oh, girl, the worst that could happen

 As you can tell I am hard at work

Santa just sent an elf to get me. I was Mrs C for a 8 yr old. We had a good chat. She is going to leave a special cookie for Santa to bring back to me at the North Pole.

If you could hear these guys they are so good, and to hear the suprise that they got to talk to both Mr and Mrs C. :santahat:

Hey, I have inside connections now  yea
