Doc, those fluffy-butts are not in the least cold. They are too dumb to know how to be cold. If collectively they were supposed to have the IQ of a single paramecium, it would be a gross exaggeration. They still don't know where they live! I have to go out every afternoon in the freezing cold and lure them back to the right area with bits of bread (they love the expensive Pepperidge Farm 12-Grain). When they finish the bread, they take a sip of water and, clucking to each other with mild surprise, re-discover their house right in front of them, where it has been for the past two weeks, go in, and hop up to their roosting bar. One night this week, they went to the house at dusk on their own and I thought we were home free...; now tonight I hunted all over for them and found them roosting in an evergreen at the back of the property. It took twenty minutes to get them out of the tree and back to their yard. |

Mur, there hasn't been any mention of the "dog house" lately, but make room for Greg!!!!! Pat, thanks for the pic of the snow.....I guess we can say it now, it is December afterall. Sure is pretty, but glad I am not there! Wolfie, thanks for asking. Rather than retell the whole thing here, you can read about it in the Valley Fever thread in Critters.

Jackie, you know that we are here for you. Orson and Dylan have never met. They should have, but it never happened. My little guy wishes your little guy the best. |

Rick, I think Orson has a few pounds on Dylan. Dylan is normally around 80 or so pounds (down to 68 right now) and I bet Orson is over 100! But yes, Doc......one of your trips to and from CA, you need to stop by AZ. I believe we well be in Maine for part of the summer if you get back there. |
