Yeah, I am - but there's bigger fish to fry right now. I'm retaining water like crazy, and my belly is bloated, as well as my calves and lower thighs. They suspect liver trouble - so far, kidneys and pancreas look okay. I was worried about stomach cancer - a guy I worked with died from it about 10 years ago, and I have a lot of similar symptoms. SO, for now it's one thing at a time... |

One of the best investments I have ever made was this 12 volt electric blanket. It isn't the same thing as body heat, but it works. Pentax, does your abdomen feel squishie, when you press on it, or does it feel rigid? In my paramedic course, this was one of the first things to check. If rigid, you would get a red tag and go right now. |

Pentax, Fear of cancer is an awful thing for anyone to endure. Please go for checkup and eliminate that fear. I know it's hard if that's what you expect is the news, but for youself please do it. Been there, done that...never want to repeat it or wish it on my worse enemy. Just thought you might like to know, I've here after more than 30 years after being diagnosed of having that dread disease. It is very possible to survive. I'm proof of it. Ovarian cancer at at the time took more than 80% of the people who were diagnosed with it. Sylvia |

Pentax....:worry:
I know you went for tests recently; please keep up posted on the results and know that we are with you all the way, no matter what. I hope it will be something benign; it doesn't sound like stomach cancer to me, though (it came on too fast?). Here's to your good health returning soon! |

Sorry Mur you have to go through so much. The discomfort and anxiety must be awful. Hope the tests are complete soon and answers offer some relief. Kate |

Well home from work early. Ursla went to the dentist for a check up and they found an abscess. They had to do an emergency extraction. She has to be sedated there fore her Dentist is located in the hospital. I felt there was an infection brewing somewhere even though she was on meds. She had been in bed more then out of it for the past 4 days and could not keep awake..motherly instinct. Funny when she called me at work, she goes " YEA " the tooth fairy can come tonight So I go to retrieve a dazed daughter and the dentist hands me her stuff. ( yes the dentist brought her out to me, always does ) He hands me a "tooth " with a comment not sure why she wants this but she asked for it. When she was going under she told them she needed her tooth...what a girl
Soon I have to give her some codine, and keep tabs on her for the night. A mothers job is forever

Wow, Ursla didn't feel a lot of pain with an abscess? Sounds like she has a nice dentist who cares and always nice to have Mommy take care of you.
Give her our best Karen. |

Chrissy, she started to feel some constant tenderness to hot/cold on Fri so got in for today for a check up. She had been on Meds for the past week so I am sure that kept it down. He said it was so bad up inside the tooth had to come out right away. He is a great man. All the people that go there are elderly or people with some type of medical issues. High risk patients. ( ...he's cute too ) When you go to his office you leave feeling so thankful, these kids/adults do not have it easy. I will tell you though I have never seen so much love in that room. You can see it on the cargivers faces, the stress but also the deep devoted love. |

Karen, I hope she has a good night. I don't envy either of you. Teeth can be so, so painful. I feel sorry for dentists too - I think I read they have high suicide rates because their job always involves causing some pain. |

No, not rigid - if MY Ind. First Aid is still halfway fresh, that's internal bleeding; but the enlarged part right above the knee holds a dent for a while, if I've been leaning it on the arm of my Lazy-Boy. |
