Awakened early... going to make for a long day. Friends from Canada coming for a visit this weekend so plenty to do besides go to work. Hand and Foot will be played for hours for sure. Good day to all.
Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money...

Got up for a leak and another one of those wheezy coughing spells hit me; by the time that was done, I was so "oxygenated" there was no going back to sleep right away.

Grrrr..... :biting:

Pentax, I hope you are better soon.

Doc, I hate when that happens! Get some good ZZZ's..

John....Hand and Foot? as in: waiting on...?

We lucked out with this snow; only a pathetic little 1/2" so far. Might amount to all of two inches before it is done. They are getting a lot more, down on the shoreline!

Today I'll finish wrapping the last few gifts and put the window lights up. I spent all my spare time yesterday putting Mor-Tite around all the old windows. It was kinda fun, actually; the stuff is very easy to handle. Some of the windows are new combination but when my parents had this work done, Mom insisted they not do the ones looking out on the street (they have the old, very thin, wavy clear glass), so they are still the huge, heavy wooden frames and storms, with peeling paint, dried-out caulking (mostly gone) and cracks around all the frames. The house has no insulation at all in the walls and the wind just whistles into those cracks!

Hand and Foot as in the card game. They taught it to us a couple years ago and we play it every time we get together. (there is variation in the rules, but I attribute it to the exchange rate) :unbelievable:

Good morning! Sunny and cold - not too sure how cold it is, but the sun looks pretty on the snow. More fell overnight.

The contractors are here and are very loud. I may have to find somewhere to go. Bang, saw, drill, etc...They show up by 8AM. That always surprises me ;) I've been retired too long, I guess. Forget the real world starts real early.

Have a day :brrr:

Good Morning, it going to be a nice sunny, cool day. Had lots of rain last evening just as we went out for dinner. Today will be only in the 60's.
The painter should be here today at noon to go over a few thing and hopefully will start painting upstairs tomorrow, then we'll make arrangements for the carpeting to be put down.
The house is a mes, so lots to do.

I heard the snowstorm wasn't going to be a bad as expected up north. I'm guessing that's a good thing. ;)

Mur, feel better, maybe take a nap today.

Everyone have a nice day.

Lovely day at Huntington Beach. Will be going soon to check on the Gators as we didn't see them on the way in.

Something must have fallen in the bathroom sink as we were traveling. It's still half full after standing all night.

When thats repaired i have to replace the fan over the Living room area. The blades snap off. Great being retired and having little things to keep you busy.

I suppose We will toddle off to the laundromat and stop at the propane dealer while were a it.

Oh one more thing the second time around on the sonogram they found a heartbeat on my daughters new baby. The Son-in-law is good for something.

Have a cheerfull day.

Good morning fellow campers.

Don’t forget the birds need friends during winter:

Possible snowsqualls this afternoon. That prediction appears to have no validity because there is only 2-4 centimeters of snowfall between now and Wednesday morning. (2-4 centimeters = less than 1” to 1 1/2” inches.)

We didn’t get the flooring laid in my craftroom, but I’m thrilled to say we now do have outside Christmas lights. The only thing that didn’t work was our projector. The bulb was burned out. Haydn took it to work with him this morning and expect it will join the rest of the outside lights tonight.

I’ve reduced my expectations of what can and cannot be achieved in a 24 hour period. So maybe the floors will get done tonight, on the other hand, maybe they won’t.

Have a nice day everyone.

its very cold here today, was 19 degrees early, someone said..
the carpenters are still working on the kitchen floor, and it seems

my grandaughter is coming tonight and we are going shopping tomorrow..
