I'm home! I'm home! I'm so glad
Perfect weather the whole way - sunny and snowless six hours.
The snow is here...we have a good foot in the yard, and our own little dumpster for the contractor ;) The new room looks like a room!!!
Very tired - may wander in later, may not!
Have a night :)

Hmmm...I may apply for a degree in weatherogrophy...is that a word? :snow:

Karen,

We didn't get any snow today, but yesterday we got 4-5". It's really pretty outside--almost enough to venture outside, but not quite. It's much prettier to look at than what it is to feel--snow is cold 'til it melts and then it isn't snow anymore! :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Just checked ... expecting snowsqualls for Sunday afternoon. Haydn won't like putting the lights up in a snowsquall. I'll make sure he puts them up in the morning then we can watch the lights blinking when the snow comes down. If there is lots, I'll take a picture and post it Monday.

Very often we get less snow than what falls inland of us...lake effect goes over the cliffs at Grand Bend and dumps snow several miles inland of us.

Pat, good to see you're home...now fix yourself and drink and don't worry about them. They'll be fine! Put your feet up and your hair down! :floorrollin:

Stoney,
Go for the degree! You were right on with your forecast for me.
We had worse weather traveling that route in April one year - coming north. We LOST snow up here that year - Tully, Lafayette, that area...we lost a windshield wiper on the rig in Scranton due to ice. 81 was closed by Harrisburg. Who woulda thunk it?

Pat, I am so glad you are safely home. I know you had a wonderful visit with the grandbabies, but there is no place like your own. :)

Pat,

This is the first year im memory that I haven't cursed 81 in PA for road construction. Other than the 55mph in too many places, it went really well.

Glad you made it home with good weather.

I think Betsy Ross started rebuilding PA's roads - and yet they never get too much better ????

Kate,
Your saying that makes me remember - how does January 8 look? Smithfield, Four Oaks, wherever that exit is? It's a Sunday.

I just sent an annoyed email to my son as they somehow missed sending a thank you for baby gift to a friend of mine. I welcomed Pat home at least once before she got home. What's with this younger generation ... I'm 60 so have an excuse :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

:yammer: Kate

Will put it on my new 2006 calendar Pat. Ed says this time we meet...no conflicts, illness, etc. I told him would hold him to it.

Those that don't frequent Critters forum should at least go over and get a laugh at
"I'm getting out" topic. I'm sitting here trying to tell Ed about party and he get's this "get the white coats" look on his face. Very fun stuff from critter crazies.

We went to the kids house to see Remington tonight. He's better behaved than I've ever seen him, but they got their work cut out.......It's nice to go over there and Remington doesn't jump on you or jump all over the place. :fryingpan:
We did have fun on that thread didn't we? :floorrollin:

Boy, do I hear all that! I have a huge issue with people who don't send thank-you's! One of my kids who shall remain nameless here, once told me, when I asked why they hadn't sent a thank-you to my Mom, "If thanks are the only reason she gives presents, then maybe she shouldn't do it." Of course, I couldn't tell her this, but she got the message, so, she doesn't.

I raised them to know better than that. :(
