Progress. With Freedom Comes Politics: Iraqis are much more optimistic about their country than American opinion makers.
Subtitle says it: Iraqis are much more optimistic about their country than American opinion makers. Progress. A victory for them. And us, in a Terror War fought not so much militarily but politically. |

Dull topic I guess. Or it flies in the face of calls for withdrawal? You may not support the war but isn't it good the Iraqis have gotten this far? |

Some could agree with "flies in the face ..." Good for Iraq. Maybe they'll make it in spite of their own resistors. You've got to hand it to them for their courage to get out and vote with all the all the human bombs seeking them out. They seem to have the courage of our founding fathers......how long did it take for us to ratify our Constitution? |

There didn't seem to be as much resistance. I heard Sunni turn out was high, perhaps to vote nay, but to vote just the same. It's a start. This guy, Fareed Zakaria, in Finally, a Smart Iraq Strategy, offers an interesting insight. |
