Cannon Fodder; Are we using them for this purpose?

Every time I read or listen to the news, it seem to me, that groups of Iraq's police and military that we have hired are being killed by the insurgents. Five at a time sometimes ten at a time are killed by suicide bombers and if not that, they are murdered on the street or at home. These men are desperate for money to feed their families. Of course some are secretly on the side of the insurgents, but probably not many. They do not have the armored vehicles to ride in, and most often they are killed while collecting a pay check or applying for a job. They do not have a green zone to protect themselves.

It seems to me that we do not give a damn about them and just use them for "cannon fodder". Def. (Soldiers, sailors, or other military personnel regarded as likely to be killed or wounded in combat). Do we give the family anything for the death of their provider? We praise our heroes, but what about them?

These are the unsung heroes of this rotten war.

I don't believe "WE" are using them for anything. They are doing their job in a very dangerous situation.

Look at it from an Iraqi point of view, they are "police and military that we have hired" and they are aiding and abetting an occupying army of infidels, they're bound to be targeted.

That war is an unfortunate happening. I'm not happy about it but until the powers to be come to their collective senses , I'm sure it will go on.

Wars tend to take on a life of their own and don't stop until everybody has had enough. We aren't to that point in Iraq yet.

"WE" put them in that dangerous position with a war that was based on lies. "WE" is the shrub and his neo's that whispered in his ear and he fell for their BS.
