We've talked several times and it's still good to hear all the good news and progress the twins are making. No problem with extra prayers.

What sweet, tiny little ones. But they look healthy and I hope with everyone else that they'll prosper. A year from now, you'll be posting pictures of two little birthday cakes! and, Pat, you think your life is noisy NOW?!!

This afternoon and this morning brought some better news on both - much better on Allie than Joey, but he's plugging along. Allie has started eating again and her temperature (internal) seems to be stabilizing which is an issue for preemies. They can't control their body temps well in the beginning and she is starting to. That temp control leads to movement out of an incubator into a regular isolette. No heart problems. Sharon got to hold her this morning and spent a fair amount of time with the twins' doctors. Joey has been diagnosed with NEC - a bowel problem that, while not the most common thing, is not uncommon in preemies. He is on an antibiotic and has frequent x-rays. Once he is stable for 10 days and shows no bowel problems - he will go on the same formula as Allie. She told me the name but I've forgotten - very easy to digest in any event. He is getting constant fluids and is gaining weight but it's fluid and not fats. FWIW - the nurses told Sharon that the pecking order of neo-natal health is - from strongest down - white females black females black males and wwm (nurses say "wimpy white males.") Thanks for your prayers, guys. I hope no one minds that I update this - it helps me Ignore it when you see it if you would like
but please keep them in your prayers and thoughts. Baby 9 still inside, btw, and we find out who baby 10 is tomorrow when youngest daughter gets her 20 week sonogram. Since baby 6 is only 7 months old, I think we may be home free for some time
