There's a Canadian couple who've been spending winters in Quartzsite for many years and serve as kind local contact point for Canadians, they left early this year due to HOTTER than usual weather. The town of Quartzsite gives them a small office space in the town center and that's where the sign was hung. This IS NOT a Canadian bash, I just heard about it from a friend and thought it was funny! |

Corky, I can understand. Temperatures you would consider normal I make me feel 'melted'. |

Kopit, No sane person stays in Quartzsite in the summer, 106 degrees F is a normal day. Temperature there normally starts to climb in very late May, started two weeks early this year. San Diego by the way is quite temperate most of the year, 70's or so. I wouldn't live in the weather at Quartzsite very well either. |
