Room Tax?; Hotel Tax on Campground Spaces

As of June 1st the local room tax will begin being charged at local campgrounds based on the number of people registered to the site. Used to be just a base charge for the site until the local hotels raised a stink, now a family of five camping will be taxed like a family of five with two rooms in a nice hotel!

Corky, is this for California or all states?

I've run into it, paying more for more people at a campsite, not just double campsites set up for more than one rig.

Fortunately, so far I have not run into added $ per dog. :P

Chrissy,
Just San Diego county so far as I know, but I'm sure it will spread as the precedent is established.

Kopit,
Don't let you dogs sleep on the beds as it's called a bed tax here and they might get you charged if you did.
