As of June 1st the local room tax will begin being charged at local campgrounds based on the number of people registered to the site. Used to be just a base charge for the site until the local hotels raised a stink, now a family of five camping will be taxed like a family of five with two rooms in a nice hotel! |

I've run into it, paying more for more people at a campsite, not just double campsites set up for more than one rig. Fortunately, so far I have not run into added $ per dog. |

Chrissy, Just San Diego county so far as I know, but I'm sure it will spread as the precedent is established. Kopit, Don't let you dogs sleep on the beds as it's called a bed tax here and they might get you charged if you did. |
