Some of us want places with 4 seasons, if nothing else, to enjoy the change of seasons. The change-overs are so interesting.
0'C with 80 km/50mph wind is more than twice as cold as -2 with 8km/5mph breeze. I go check out the morning weather, hands on, for 5 minutes in the conditions of the -2 above. Now, that's morning. In the evening my arthritis is.......................
My bones have been around for 62 years. |

I could lie and say my wife checks the temp before I get out of bed. My arthritis is just as bad in the morning as after a long day. Knees have to many miles on them. I have a few years on you, will be 71 this summer. Biking helps keep them limber and now that they have stopped selling much of the medication I am going to have the cortisone shots again. My work took me out in all sorts of weather but don't have to do that anymore. There is a saying--"Colder than a well driller's behind (or a synonym of your choice)" that is very true. Experienced that for many years. If you want to figure out what is twice as cold as 0 degrees C, convert to Fahrenheit and double it. It is cold! |
