Lynne, when the chairs are dry and IF the water left marks, I will contact the dealer for new fabric to replace them. |

Jackie, Does that mean your warranty covers situations like that? For how long? ![]() |

No, I doubt the warranty covers for that....but I am pretty sure that the Carriage Company would be willing to send a few pieces of fabric. If they charge me, than that is fine....but I doubt they would. |

You might want to check how wet your carpet might be. If it doesn't dry all the way, it can mold and mildew underneath. You might never see that, but might smell it. I hope that doesn't entail tearing the carpet up. You might want other RV'ers to give you some suggestions on that, or the dealer. |

I'm sorry. It's new I know that is upsetting. It doesn't take long to do something. We have ripped leather driver chair TWICE. The LR slide. We have to remember to put chair all the way up towards driving wheel before moving slide (not something you have to worry about) in 5er at drivers seat anyway. We had it repaired, not recovered/$$$, it looks great until next time :P. We even have a voice that comes on and says "make sure area is clear" when slide opens and closes With upholstery only on seats if stained as you say recovering should be easy if necessary. Do those bottoms pop out? As I told Ed, it's an object, not a living thing. He was upset with himself, so I went and did it the 2nd time Kate |

Well, the seats are dry, and do have the water marks on them.
I emailed the dealer to see about getting new fabric for the chairs....hopefully they will oblige. I don't think we should have a problem with mold and mildew under the carpet. It should dry nicely. Won't mold only be a problem if it isn't allowed to dry, or if it keeps getting wet???? I hope!

I have been thinking of you today and did hope for another outcome, but I'm sure if you get new fabric you can recover the chairs easily. I wouldn't worry about the carpeting. It was a one shot deal. All rigs, homes, belongings get a ding sooner or later, so the water is an easy ding. You probably will never forget to close a window from this day forward! |

Jackie, I would go to a local Detail Shop, or maybe a Fabric Store, they might have something to remove the stains :scratchchin: |

Jackie, all I read on fabrics in our MH say DRY CLEAN, no water products. Getting more material for chairs should not be a problem but taking them off and to dry cleaner would be another consideration. Kate |

Well, my oops will cost us about $80.00 to fix. Fabric is $29.00 per yard plus shipping.
I got 2 yards, but I bet one will be enough. Figured extra would be good. I guess cheap enough to get it looking like new.

Jackie, Just had a thought - since you have ordered the fabric, which is probably still a good idea, why don't you remove the current fabric from all the chairs and have it cleaned? If it's not too expensive to clean it, then you can put that back on if it works and just hold on to the new fabric just in case. |

Jackie, I assume you know how to sew? I would have to have someone come out and do the work. I can hardly sew a button on anything. |
